  1. Images can be resized with any image editor which you have at hand, or use an extern screenshot tool (I use ShareX, maybe the best, but only for Windows)
  2. Nice OpenSource app which I use now on Desktop https://omega.gg/MotionBox/ MotionBox accesses and aggregates videos via the VBML language. It supports DuckDuckGo, BitTorrent, TMDB, YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook, Odysee, PeerTube, Last.fm and SoundCloud. All of this inside multiple tabs and without ever showing an ad.
  3. Confident no, desperate bad management. - How much do these oranges cost? - €1000 a piece - How crazy, this is not going to sell much. - Yes, but I'll only have to sell 1 or 2 a day to get rich.
  4. In Chrome certainly it's difficult, but not so in other Chromium. I use Vivaldi with it's own adblocker and a iFrame extension and can watch YT without ads and treats. Same in Midori (Gecko engine, FOSS), sync by Mozilla, (very new, homepage still unfinished in some parts), I think way better than FF,( also with own very good default search engine, privacy focused without logs or tracking), using with uBO, but only when I regulary clear cache and update uBO. In this its the same as in FF.

Yes, Giveaways are mostly ..mhe, even better some games which Steam offers for free by default in a long list, but sometimes there are also real pearls, like Gunslinger, Thomb Raider 2013, Immortal Redneck, Postal 2 and some others well kept in my collection.

I downloaded and playd it, nice puzzles but frustrating and somewhat boring because of a very limited movements. between 4 places and a bad end. Remembered me of this walking game some month ago, but with some puzzles and boring environment. As a German saying goes, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth, but for me it was play (until the end > 35 minutes), check it off and forget it, there are better point and click adventures, Adam Wolfe eg was very nice made, nice puzzles and even some action, also in a Giveaway some time ago, now in Steam for €3,11 https://store.steampowered.com/app/483420/Adam_Wolfe/
  7. In Memoriam of Grayman and Sir Taffsalot a special place for this nice mission.
  8. Strange, try to quit all permissions to chrome in the phone settings, to force it to ask which browser you want to use to open a link, when Chrome don't work. Refuse the browserchange in your own phone is illegal, only excepcions are when you use a company phone (EMUI crap) or it's infected with a malware. https://www.doncaprio.com/how-to-change-default-browser-on-huawei-devices-running-emui/
  9. I also have an Huawai, no problem to set Vivaldi as default without Root. If you have more than one browser in the system and you open a link, you have the choice to select the default one to open it, at least for me. At least in the EU, manufacturers, also Google, are required by law to allow the user to freely choose their default browser. In Windows , it also intent to make EDGE as default and it's not enough to set in your browser to use it as default, there you must do it also in the Windows Default apps setting, to avoid the use of EDGE in some links. Also no Google search in my mobile, but my default search i use in Vivaldi, also as PWA searchbar on my homescreen, with all the other search engines, which i can sellect, synced with all other data (bookmarks, notes, passwords, etc) from my Vivaldi from the PC, no Google search in between. Vivaldi has inbuild a own mail client, feed reader, calendar and some other usefull thingies. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=y1nZSowjv08 https://www.technipages.com/how-to-change-the-default-browser-on-android/ https://cellularnews.com/mobile-operating-systems/android/how-to-set-default-browser-android/
  10. In phone i use a DNScrypt proxy and Quad9 DNS (also in PC). In Phone and PC i use the Vivaldi browser (inbuild ad/trackerblocker), it's chromium based, but all Google crap stripped out. Even the search bar in the home screen is from Vivaldi with Andisearch (or others i like). No problems with Google crap, which i don't use, except the Android itself. Ah, well, also set permissions of all my apps to the minimum needed.

  12. I would only be interested in how they are going to shut down a decentralized OpenSource platform that is spread across a gazillion different private servers. It would be like trying to shut-down Fediverse. The only thing they can do is locate the servers one by one in each country in the world to block them, while new ones are constantly created. Obviously they have not understood the principle of decentralized networks and believe that they can block them as a centralized network as if it were X, Meta, YT, etc. Neither LBRY itself can delete its hosted content, or Odysee can do it, it can only hide it from others users moving it to LBRY where it will remain until the end of time and in all the forks and instances.
  13. That is the point,, the adblockers get a new definition which works, but a few time later the YT adblock detector also is updated. Only the mencioned userscript works (until now) without issues and if needed, there are also a lot of others which blocks the YT adblock detector or make the adblocker invisible. For this there isn't any extension in the official stores which works. Even the front-ends are working one day and the other not, needing to switch continuously between different instances. It isn't because YT is loosing money, I think that in the future more and more people will switch to Odysee https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts?q=youtube On the contrary, the profits are the highest this and last year than in their entire history and are around 35 million dollars net. Obviously these measures are more aimed at satisfying shareholders than being a product of necessity.
  14. There is certainly a lot of garbage, conspiracy videos and mediocre influencers on YT. This naturally happens on any platform, especially on Odysee, although the reason is more understandable there, since Odysee is based on Blockchain, this makes it impossible to delete any inappropriate content, moderation, can only hide the videos if they are reported, but this only transfers them to LBRY. But YT does not have this problem and the moderation there is quite quick in deleting content that in its opinion is inappropriate, but this corresponds more to political reasons and content that is uncomfortable for Google, rather than other idiocies or complaints from users.
  15. Front ends- still work (Piped, Invidious..), also FreeTube, SMPlayer also permits to view videos in streaming from YT and others, the Feed Reader of the Vivaldi browser also permits view YT videos embedded, Andisearch can reproduce YT sandboxed in the search results, all this still without ads. Only real alternative to YT don't exist, maybe the nearest is Odysee with way better privacy and ethical business model, not related to Google.
  16. 1,2 3 ads certainly aren't, but they are abusive and scam when there are 28 ads and 61 trackers for this 10 minutes on YT. I'm talking about the abuse of these techniques. Everyone is free to pay for YT Premium, even if they don't see ads, they will track you anyway and they also know your personal information and also your banking data. For my part, I do not plan to enter this game.
  17. No, it isn't certainly unethic to use ads, but it is to abuse, to sell user data, to scam the user with thumbnails that have nothing to do with the content (clickbaits), steal bandwidth by doubling the duration of the video with invasive ads. And yes, I am already using alternatives and I prefer to pay for an album on Bandcamp or others, instead of supporting the pure greed of a multinational with enough resources and income to pay the million-dollar fines of the EU, precisely for these abuses, from their pockets without flinching and handing out platinum plaques to mediocre influencers for many likes that they also monetize. YT already has plenty of revenue for its platform with YouTubeTV and its Cine Club, with prices Netflix can only dream of. But this is it, throughout its existence until now, offering a good service with rational use of ads, to attract the majority of content creators and users, and now when it has absolute dominance of the market, it begins to make life impossible for users to force them to sign up for Premium. Ethics is something else. https://therecord.media/protonmail-duckduckgo-others-ask-eu-us-regulators-to-ban-surveillance-based-advertising https://piped.kavin.rocks/watch?v=jmHG92lARUQ
  18. As I said, nothing against ads, which YT always had, but not in this abusive way like now. They always used a banner on the home page and also some other promotional video among the videos on it, then they began to put a promotional clip of a few seconds at the beginning of the videos, but now not only at the beginning but several times in between, sometimes longer than the content of the video itself. In between pop ups promoting YT Premium. All this makes YT unbearable even for the creators themselves, who want to present their work and see it chopped up with advertorials. Ads are OK, but when in the statistics of my adblocker, by opening YT and watching a video, it appears that 12 ads and more than 20 trackers were blocked, confirm that i continue using adblocker or use a front-end. A more ethical way would be, for example, the possibility of buying a video, when you want to download it, as Odysee and others do. YT already does this with cinema movies, creating income with these, without having to sign up for Premium and pay a fee monthly, using it or not. This American custom of selling users' private data and bombarding them with ads is not necessary to create enough income. This morning, open YT and viewing one video, result 61 tracker and 28 ads blocked, see Date and Time. A monopoly invariably leads to abuse and this is a fact.
  19. It's worse than in commercial TV, Don't get me wrong, naturally they need money for the platform and I wouldn't use an adblocker either if it were for some banners on the page, some promotional videos present on the home page, but YT goes much further, videos that start with up to 3 ads not skippables, even in a classical concert interrupted by 1-2 idiotic telepromotions of almost 5 minutes, most of the thumbnails on the page are clickbaits, you cannot listen to a playlist, without YT paused it every 20 -30 minutes, annoying pop ups for a Premium Trial, etc.. This is abusive and they practically force you to use an adblocker, clickbait blocker, YTnonstop, etc., or send them to comb the desert. It is about making money in an abusive way, which in the end harms the content creator more than it benefits him. There are ways to create much more ethical profits on the Internet than crushing the user and destroying videos. Removing clickbaits in YT Listen playlists, without annoying "Video paused. Continue watching?" This apart of all other tracking crap which invade privacy and security.
  20. Although the argument of using ads to finance creators is legitimate, the abuse that YT makes of them is not and makes the use of adblockers inevitable, if one does not want, for example, a concert to be crushed by interruptions, even with advertorials. , this is independent of countless clickbaits in the thumbnails and other shit that YT wants to push us to use YT Premium with its abusive prices. A few months ago, YT began an aggressive anti-adblock campaign, with pop-ups reminding us of the ban and even blocking the player, in addition to YT Premium's self-advertisements. This leaves the user with only the options of either swallowing the ads interrupted by their favorite videos or signing up for YT Premium. Many have already moved to other platforms, for example Odysee, but the problem is that no other platform can compete in content with YT. Luckily there is a solution to this problem, which, at least for the moment, works and is a small userscript that we can add to our browser. For this we install the Tampermonkey extension and add this script https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/477725-youtube-iframe-adblocker In the Vivaldi browser it is not necessary to use Tampermonkey, there you just have to download this script in a folder (do not delete it) and drag the script to the extensions tab in Developer mode to install it. This surrounds YT's adblock detector, as this script dynamically overlays the video on an iFrame, making the adblocker invisible to YT.
  21. Yes, In the world of mushrooms there are some of the most amazing specimens, there are even some species (Mycetozoa or Eumycetozoa) that actively hunt for food. It's really a world apart from fauna and flora, they're something in between.
  22. Since there are also many magic solutions in TDM, such as invisibility potions, why then can't you create a potion that creates a chosen appearance in the view of others, instead of physically changing it? Another manner to reach some objectives are the one which already exist in TDM, to be capable to enter the spiritual world, like in The House of Locked Secrets or in the old Prey game, to bypass guards and enemies. I think it is a resource that is rarely used in TDM, so far only in one mission.
  23. Yes, at least if there isn't a mirror in the mission, or you switch to third person view, possible in TDM, AFAIK.
  24. It's a good idea to disguise the protagonist, it's othing new in some other games (Hitman and even in the old Postal 2, where the protagonist use a police uniform) But what bothers me the most in TDM is not this, but that a Thief, from the sound of his steps, seems to be wearing heavy boots with nails instead of light sneakers that facilitate stealth and climbing, which does not at all agree with the rest of his ninja outfit.
