  1. The main thing is that it can be opened. If it wasn't possible, it'd be my biggest criticism of the mission. Oh, another question. What's the intended way of getting the factory secret, just jumping to it? I activated some mechanism, but it wasn't very useful.
  2. I can't believe I missed that. Thanks!
  3. Is there a way to open the big gate between the starting area and market square?
  4. This was a great mission! I had a bit of a rocky start with it, mostly due to my own inattentiveness as I missed the parchment and couldn't get past the checkpoint at the beginning which, coupled with the starting area being rather simple, made me shelve the mission. Turns out the start is deceptively simple as the further in you get, the cooler and more complex the mission becomes, so I'm really glad I got back to it.
  5. A New Job could use a rework too. For one, I'm not sure why the mission that's supposed to be played by TDM newcomers has a difficulty titled "TDM Veteran"...
  6. Regarding the St. Lucia campaign, as a TDM newcomer, I do have a pretty strong opinion about it, that is, The Tears of St. Lucia is a major difficulty spike and is totally not for new players. I never finished it and was close to dropping TDM entirely, but thankfully I tried Melan's Return to the City and Spoonman's Full Moon Fever, which finally got me hooked. I believe it should be reworked to be more accommodating for those who are still learning how the game works. Another thing: TDM newcomers often look at the highest-rated, most-recommended missions when choosing what to play. A potential problem here is that these missions are rated and recommended by TDM players who already know the game, and most of these missions are huge and demanding. For example, The Painter's Wife is one of my favorite missions, but I wouldn't under any circumstances recommend it to someone new as they would just get overwhelmed. I'm not entirely sure what can be done about it. Maybe a note regarding the mission's size and difficulty in the mission download menu?
  7. Fantastic mission! Of all the 2.10 releases, I was looking forward to this one the most, and it delivered. One question:
  8. It also sounds like a choice between "Every mission should have save rooms" and "Save rooms should not appear at all." I hope that's not the case.
  9. I really hope this'll be an occasional gimmick rather than a feature every mission has from now on.
  10. In The Painter's Wife, guards alert when certain loot goes missing. I know they notice when the painting is gone, but there might be a few other pieces they react to as well. This doesn't count in the stats, but it might explain why you saw them walking around with swords unsheathed. Additionally, weird things can happen, especially in a huge mission like this. If you've seen my Perilous Refuge video, you may remember that everyone on the ship suddenly became alerted at one point. I actually went back and looked around after I finished the recording and found one of the thieves dead on the pier. I have no idea how he died, but the alerts must have been to discovering his body.
  11. Might as well post the two other videos I recorded a while ago.
  12. I actually like the pickpocket count as it is now. The only reason I go for max pickpockets in Thief is because it shows me how many there are overall, and so I feel compelled to get them all. Converesely, in TDM I've been trying to minimize this number. It's weird how my brain works.
  13. I've already found that one. I know about that command but I'd rather not use it if I can find everything myself, and I'm pretty sure I can. I'll do another sweep of this mission later, but hints are still welcome.
  14. This is one of the best TDM missions I've played so far. It took me three days to beat and felt like a massive accomplisment when I finally finished it, and I've already replayed it to try and get the remaining loot. Speaking of which, I'm missing 1 gold, which I'm sure is a lone coin somewhere. Can anyone give me a hint to where it may be?
  15. I've always been an advocate of consistency in stealth games. AIs don't have to behave realistically, but their behaviors should be predictable. Guards randomly turning their heads is not something I like, but it hadn't given me that much trouble either. Probably helps that I've played the Dishonored games before where the exact same thing happens. Not sure how this information should be incorporated into the ruleset. Should it go into section B5?
  16. Recently finished this mission and loved it. Big thanks to everyone involved! I got a bonus objective by finding a book in Allodric mansion. Are there any other bonus objectives or is it just this one?
  17. Yeah I added the engine exploitation part because otherwise it'd seem like it's allowed, although at this point I don't know of any engine quirks that could help with ghosting.
  18. Greetings everyone! I recently got into TDM and am already having a lot of fun playing through and ghosting missions. However, coming from Thief, I am mostly relying on the rules and my experience with that game, while there are clearly differences in how TDM works. Right now, there is talk in the ghosting discussion thread on TTLG to amend the ruleset and include clarifications pertaining to TDM. So I wanted to drop by and ask: is there an active TDM ghosting community already and have any rules for this playstyle been developed? I would also like to ask someone to take a look at the draft of this addendum to see whether everything looks correct: https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148487&page=16&p=2473352&viewfull=1#post2473352 Thanks!
