  1. Didnt get an IP? Well at least it was backed up. I say hunt down the kiddie and kill it...it's the best solution
  2. I'll get all the menus setup around this design in the next few weeks, I'll have plenty of time so it will work out great
  3. YAY!!!! I love you!!!!!Now I have something to work towards
  4. The scripts used in D3 are ascii readable if they haven't updated the setup (which I'm 93% sure is the case) but I havn't looked into it so I'm not really sure
  5. yes yes you could..then some other spacer would come kill you. Land wars, us humans like em
  6. Well actually, the american paranoia soothing only gets votes from about half the american population, specifically the very partisan republican party... I think as soon as some valuable minerals found in space we'll have plenty of space stations and such, there just has to be comercial motivation
  7. in .pk4 files you can specify a nameing script, this is how multiplayer maps are listed in the game. I'm not sure how you would implement this in your thing, since I just skimmed the thread so far
  8. Congrats, I have an excellent....ly bad guitar. I gotta squire hand me down freebee stratpack strat and a handmedown old goya from the 70's. Someday when I have money I'll get something else...

    Acolytes

Looks nice, but the cloth texture on the arms looks like it's aligned wrong, also the hood looks a little weird, besides that nice work
  10. These don't look converted, they look lik eyou just took the t2 texture and setem up for D3. To make real conversions (my only texture sepcialty) you take the old mat image place it behind the new one and actually recreate new textures based on the old, otherwise you'de never get high enough detail for new games

    Episode Iii

Lol Macsen. Actually I didn't hate it either. Quality wise it was pretty horrible, and if your not a star wars fan it wouldn''t be any good, but hey, if you arn,t a star wars fan none of them are that great. Lucas has never been an amazing writer, go back and read lukes ep 4 lines. As a star wars fan I think it wasn't the story that i was really into, more of the places and exxplanation of what had happened before. I loved seeing chewie on the battle of kashyk, the old school x-wings and tie, all of that was nice.
  12. wonderful. Delicious. As always excellent work.
  13. i want that boook! Also on the cart are each of the floor boards sperate? it might be easier to make one and then use a normalmap to make it look good.
  14. I think that only working towards the hardcore gamer audience may not be the best idea. Personally I dislike games that don't let you save because I lack the amazing skill of oddity and therefore actually tend to die when things are hard. In the same idea as that, making no health regain possible just makes it frustrating. You get injured at the begining play through the whole map only to find you can't get past a part with the health you have.
  15. I'm considering buying it, It looks very nice and the big bonus of no monthly fee (which I wouldn't be able to afford)
  16. So we have to kill you to get you to stop complaining? Modeling/implementing a single one of the potions isn't that difficult. Theres no reason not to add it to the toolset regardless of whether it is in the campaign or not.I personally think the idea of the breathe potion is stupid, but if the majority wants it I'm not going to keep bitching. Move on to something that matters
  17. look at Elder scrolls 3 morrowind though, They successfully created a huge world that had an interesting plot, but lsoa vast openend place to explore. I felt tht was wonderfully done, and they used old tchnology to do it.
  18. I like al three, but I think the second one has the most likeable part. Like oddity I see mages as arrogant upper crust ruler factions almost. The only problem is that #2 doesn't look rich enough. I would see them as flamboyant colors with lots of jewels and gold
  19. Yes we are going to see a new genre very soon. Open ended vastness, as you said. This is one of the future goals of multiple of the large companies. Go look at some of the unreal three technology videos, where there developers talk about it being there next goal. Or morowind oblivion. System are getting closer to being able to handle vast continuous enviorments, with open ended do what you want style play. As more computer handle the games it will probably become more common. I don't think we'll see new genres (its like books, most books fall under one catagrory or another, they don't make new ones) however we'll see great advances in The level of interactivity.
  20. How did this get from a discussion of german empire building from what bokos we've read.... anyways....
  21. YOu could also burna copy of the disk so you have a backup. The license gives prmission to have a private backup disk
  22. You know it's getting to you when your freaking out because the pen in your hand has way to high of a poly count for sucha small object
  23. Not much in the way of architech, and lots in the way of entities, but its a nice start. Maybe focus on adding more detail next, not just models
  24. really excellent work, I wish I cud draw
