Sorry to be a pain, but I've downloaded darkmod as per the instructions, yet when I try to launch it doom 3 launches not the darkmod. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Here is the terminal code after it launches. Please help!

I presume this is after selecting a mission then clicking install?

It looks like the mod is having trouble writing to the currentfm.txt file. Perhaps that space in "Doom 3.app" is causing the same sort of issue with the mission installer?

You could try manually adding the mission name to that file but it'd have to be in the naming convention expected by the launcher code. If someone can install a mission and post their currentfm file it would help. (I'm posting via my mobile phone.)

Please visit TDM's IndieDB site and help promote the mod:

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

The FAQ says:

"It is recommended that the “Doom 3″ program folder is installed into the Application Support folder (i.e. ~/Library/Application Support/Doom 3/). If Doom 3 is installed into a different location then additional steps will need to be followed."

But you installed to "/Users/christopheresmith/Doom3/". Maybe that causes the problem. Try to install Doom 3 in /Users/christopheresmith/Library/Application Support/Doom 3/

Anyone have any luck with light.setShader( string ) ? It seems to make whichever light you apply it to full-bright on the initial invoke?

Don't you hate it when there's a quality discussion on a forum somewhere online about something, but then two disagreeing users derail and transform it into a back-and-forth poo slinging competition at one another?

After watching the first three and a half episodes of "The Sandman" last night, I realize once again that overly imaginative narratives are not for me. Also, the main actor looks like he has a toothache.
Which makes me wonder, is there a Dark Mod mission with a medieval dentist?
