Considering New Computer

That Acronis software is one of the best imaging apps out there, @Destined Crucial do have a similar too to Samsungs Magician. If you go with the crucial, I suggest you download that to make sure the drive has the latest f/w etc.

And back to Win10, I still beleive you can find a legit copy of win7/8.1 over there in germany. Failing that there are loads of places to buy it over here.

- windows 7 x64

- windows 8.1 x64

Just find a buyer with lots of feeback and who is a business, all you need is the CD/DVD key but if you can get a disc along with it then so much the better.

One quick question about my SSD. I've currently got both TDM and Darkradiant installed on it, and therefore my WIPs are on there as well. In order to save writes, should I instead move my WIPs to my HDD instead, or is it okay to leave them where they are?

IMHO, only have the OS and apps on the SSD, game eg The Darkmod should be on the SSD.

Also any FM you have created or working on should be in the FM's folder - \\darkmod\fms, then just setup shortcuts for each wip/fm etc -

<drive letter>:\Darkmod\TheDarkMod.exe +set com_allowConsole 1 +set fs_currentfm ,<name of your fm in the fms folder>

"C:\Program Files\DarkRadiant\DarkRadiant.exe" fs_game=darkmod/fms/<name of your fm>

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
