chatumao 2
Hello, just got into 2.04 in Saint Lucia. I thought I report this so it may be noted and possibly improved at some point. I killed the first guard that is standing in the tunnel, not hiding the body. The second one patrolling the church court yard has a lantern. He noticed the corpse and went over to check it out. In order to draw his weapon (I reckon), he dropped the lantern. I think he should pick it up again after he returns to his routine/exits combat mode. Thanks for your time and thank you for this release! Kind regards
Oldjim 154
As an aside - playing Knighton Manor it would appear that a guard was slightly alerted (I wasn't aware of it) and dropped the lantern on the grass near to entrance to the woodshedFortunately I had a water arrow left to take out the nearby torch otherwise I would have been stuckHow the guard became alerted I have no idea given the stealth score

Without that, the lanterns stay dropped.

It's possible that this AI was alerted by something other than the player. Those types of alerts don't count toward the stealth score.
AluminumHaste 1053
This is reasonable behavior, but we don't have an animation for the AI to retrieve a dropped lantern. Without that, the lanterns stay dropped. The kneeling animation for checking dropped weapons might do in a pinch, and just teleport the lantern to the AI's hand?
