Adding selection button for layers inspector

So I got the source for darkradiant and I was going to start poking around to change the layer names to buttons so that when you click the button it selects everything in that layer, but I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Look at the LayerControlDialog in radiant/ui/layers/LayerControlDialog.h and .cpp. This class owns a collection of LayerControl objects, which take care of the widgets and the callbacks.

 

Don't hesitate to ask if you need more info.

My head exploded. Ouch

Well, it's easy to get your head explode when you first start to look at DarkRadiant, as so many (presumably new) idioms and coding patterns are clashing on your screen. :) I have no problem explaining a few things, in case you're still interested, but it's fair enough if you say it's not your thing.

I'm not used to code that complicated so I have no real practice following it.

Nope no good, I don't have enough time to learn this stuff again. I'm working 6 days a week now 8 hours a day, and when I'm home I have my son and don't have more than just a few hours something less than 1 hour to look at the code and everytime I start over reading the code I'm lost again.

So sorry, not going to be able to work on this. I barely have enough time to work on my map. :( I liked it better when I was unemployed lol.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
