I notice that some soundshaders don't have a specific minDistance or maxDistance value (some impact sounds do and some do not). Do sounds inherit default values from some other entity or is there some other way default values are set?

There must be something, because many of our sounds do not use a maxDistance value...how does the code know how far the sound should go in that case? :huh:

Maybe it's based on the volume itself, you can make general assumptions based on actual sound propagation physics.

      I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.
