Either the end of November or the beginning of December and consider yerself invited.

While traveling to the UK would not be out of the question, I can definitely not make it before 16/17/18 weekend in december - everything else is already blocked.

How many people can Skype carry at once?

Might it be a better idea to do a Livestream? Then everyone goes to the livestream.com site and can watch a video feed of the meeting and we all (off location) talk together on the site's chat system. I think there might be some system for video conferencing that might work too; maybe Skype does allow it?

Edit: But I think Livestream may be the way to go because then you don't have to mess with trading Skype accounts. You just post the link, it's a public site, and anybody who wants just clicks and the video feed comes up, and away we go. Very easy.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

They aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. You can probably have a livestream going at the same time Skype is on, and I don't know about TeamSpeak but probably that too. (I guess it might depend if one of them takes exclusive control over the webcam away from the others though, so it could use testing.)

What's nice about Livestream is that people going to the stream don't need accounts ahead of time or anything; they can just to go the site and watch, and post comments as a guest IIRC.

You can just go to a stream and see what it's like; you can just see in 10 seconds what it'd take longer to explain. Here's one I picked at random: http://www.livestream.com/occupylsx

(Occupy London... I don't mean to be political, I just wanted one that had the comments box open to the public. The gaming ones I tried before required logins & were moderated. Also obviously you connect the video to the webcam instead of that looping video they have.)

Or here is a list of live streams in English if that one goes down.

Hey @nbohr1morehow come the zombies in The Dark Mod don't have a "resurrection" mechanic to it, similar to how Thief has it?
They're quite a weak creature as of right now, it's merely a walking corpse that slashes you, making attacking them to kill them an actual strategy.
Would be better if they had some cool mechanism to it that truly makes them a danger, such as the resurrection idea itself.

Query: when was the last time a zombie in a video game was unnerving or scary to you? I'm chipping away at my anniversary submission and I've been trying to gather opinions on the subject. I'm perfectly capable of lighting them well, changing their sfx, and creating effective ambience, but I'm worried that zombies at their core are just too overdone to be an effective payoff to the tension I'm creating.

Has anyone had any luck with textures from Polyhaven? Their OpenEXR normal maps seem too washed out and give incorrect shading in the engine.

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.
