  1. Grayman has a point void alphonseDeadPathCornerReached() { /* string match = ""; entity target; boolean nextMatch = true; while ( nextMatch ) { match = $teleport_alarm_guards.getNextKey( "target", match ); if ( match == "" ) nextMatch = false; else { target = $teleport_alarm_guards.getEntityKey( match ); setAgitatedInvestigate( target ); } } <-----------------(this one) }
  2. Never mind. Fixed it. Apparently the game doesn't like 4x MSAA. Turn that off and no crashes.
  3. I'm trying to get through Bioshock 2 now but the game is randomly crashing ~10-15 minutes. Sometimes it occurs when I quicksave so I've been using the Menu Save which seems to have alleviated that. Other times it crashes when I play an unread audio log. Other times it crashes the instant a door opens. There's always/usually some triggered event that just starts occuring when it crashes. Its pretty f*cking annoying. Playing via Steam so should be the latest patched version. Not using old saves, started a new game. The Windows LIVE stuff is no longer present so its not that. Tried running Game in Vista compat mode, have disabled all unused audio devices. Tried turning texture detail to Medium. Have not tried the "-dx9" launch flag yet. Disabled new "Reverb" option in Game Audio settings. Any suggestions? Win 7x64, 8GB ram, gtx780 w/334.89 drivers 4x MSAA forced in game, creative Z series with latest drivers, 5.1 audio in game (tried Prologic setting too). The crashes "seem" related to audio but there's no real way to know. Seems like its always a triggered event, door opening, unread audio log, just before the sound clip plays for the event, crash. Last crash was during a fight with a Big Daddy.
  4. I guess that makes you the walking dead and that makes me Rick Grimes. I'm Rick Grimes, biatch!
  5. There's two things about this phone that intrigue me one of which I think will prove to be a detriment. 1) The phone is by 1+. Who's heard of it? I haven't and no one I know has either. That makes it unique. I personally like being different and not having what everyone else has, even if its sub standard which isn't the case here. 2) The phone case is magnesium. Being a machinist I love the part of that video where that taper mill is machinging the logo in the back of the case. That also brings with it a con. We have machined and had a few magnesium parts in our shop over the years and it not an exotic material but its close. It weighs ~half of what aluminum weighs which is super cool. The bad part about magnesium and aluminum to a lesser extent; they're soft metals. If you do drop this thing and it hits concrete, it will be like dropping a stick of clay. When its dropped on hard materials it deforms similar to clay. Just not as extreme but the deformation is very similar to that. Its just a harder more crystalline material. That worries me as far as the durability. As for the weight of the device, you can't beat it.
  6. I don't own and have never owned a phone. So I wouldn't have to smash my old one, and this looks interesting.
  7. its tied @26% right now.
  8. I have not tested the latest version of this FM yet but I had the issue with the first released version. Only difference was I didn't have the heart in my possession at the time. Operating the tub faucet caused massive frame lag. If I didn't move my mouse at all after turning on the faucet, once the tub was filled, the frame lag went away. It was repeatable. I don't know what it was with the operating of the valve or filling of the tub that was causing this. I would imagine that the tub filling was accomplished using a brush of water texture and just altering its Z axis movement raising it from below the tub to the water fill height. Was this edited in the new version?
  9. +1 voted, good luck!
  10. I think *most motherboards are set to throttle the CPU around 90C. @simplen00b - most laptop motherboards don't have many CPU options in the bios however seeing how yours is custom you should check the bios and see if you can underclock the CPU there me thinks (first). If there is no option for it than you could revert to using an OS applicaiton to do it. Still, at 100% usage if the CPU is overheating I personally would be taking it apart and ensuring the HSF is making good contact with the CPU.
  11. A gas arrow you mean? (same as a gas grenade) On that note... why would poison gas affect an undead at all; does it? I mean, they're already dead.
  12. Looks rEALLy good. The only thing that stood out to me is that the whole room looks dusty and in disarray however both the rugs appear to be lined up exactly straight. Bump them off kilter a bit so they don't look odd in the space. Very atmospheric room you have there.
  13. Well, I would think that they actually will have decent scaling because of a couple reasons. 1) the hardware to run them is exorbitantly expensive so just plugging one in to your single 460/570/660/670 you can run less res in-game 2) The companies goal is obviously to push the new technology and sell monitors. How can they do that if no one can afford the hardware to run them? Guess we'll have to wait till the 25th for some reviews.
  14. Looks great. Reminds me of hacking a health station in Bioshock, AI go to heal up and wham, gas to the face. My only issue with mines in general is the cost. You generally only get 100g to spend and you can't buy a bunch of arrows and have much/any left to buy even 1 mine so what's the point. They should maybe be in the 30/35g range otherwise no one buys them. Picking them up in the mission always seems like the better route anyway and has been implemented in several of the latest FMs put out.
  15. You shouldn't worry though as the thermal controls on the motherboard "should" shut the PC down before any damage is ever done. It will also underclock the CPU first to reduce heat if it can prior to shut down. How old is the laptop and have the headsinks been blown/sucked out? Can you take a vacuum nozzle and put it up against the vents to suck out any dirt/dust/hair, etc. If that doesn't help then disassembling it and ensuring the heatsinks are clean and mounted properly would be the next step. I wouldn't get alarmist about damaging your laptop however because they should shut themselves down prior to any damage being done.
  16. You know, this hadn't actually occurred to me till now but if the monitor has decent scaling, a single 780 would run 3 of them just fine, just at a lower res (till there is gfx hardware that will run it.) + you would have a maSSive desktop for DR or productivity. So you could run half res for games and be just fine more than likely. Actually half res is less than I'm currently running so a single card would do it without issue.
  17. Workaround maybe... put your taskbar on "auto-hide"? Or move it to the left/right side of the monitor space.
  18. Yeah, waaaay too much money involved in a setup like that. Those are monster requirements! ... hard to imagine in a couple years or so when we have a single card that can do 24.9MP @60fps. Those days are approaching! Pretty exciting.
  19. AOC has to be using the same panel. For you maybe. Not for me. 537.60 British Pound Sterling equals (Amazon for the AOC) 902.25 US Dollar Samsung is $200 cheaper for me. AOC has VESA mounts though :\
  20. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2014/03/hands-on-samsung-ud590-review-a-lean-mean-4k-monitor/ That is pretty damn sexy. Only issues I see are, no VESA mounts and that graphics ass required to run 3 of these. :\
  21. You have to log in and then click the link. At least that's what I had to do. Actually after logging in it dumps you to a standard store page, then I had to open another tab and search for "amazon thief contest" and then clicked the top google link which while logged in takes you to the page. +1 vote for Gelo! Its pretty funny still, the Joachim S "mod" video, the way its presented, using nuThief, etc... it is the most likely candidate for DLC, that's probably why its winning. More money for Eidos.
  22. I doubt it. There is a thread about the work that is going on to keep the in-game downloader updated so all the missions are the latest. Its just a matter of time.
  23. Ohh, I see what you mean now. Ah, I was recalling incorrectly and I guess it was the number wheels that were a prefab. Still, glad we got to watch the fast efficient patch work.
  24. Are you sure you can't use the Texture Tool to do this? I connected all these patches together using the texture tool. It was a bit of a learning curve but its basically like an unwrap of the patches. I think with a circular tower there would only be one seam down the side from top to bottom that you'd have to cover and you could use pipes or something to do that.
