  1. Same here. Its magnified if you actually make maps for the game and you see that stuff ALL THE TIME.
  2. Its a step in the right direction, but those eyeballs, especially the one of the right looks really cartoony with those bloodshout lines
  3. The first computer I ever used was an Apple IIci For voice acting you'd have to talk to New Horizon about that. For mapping, start working on a map, show us some screenshots, if you're dedicated you can try for beta mapper status, get all the latest assets.
  4. This just keeps getting better and better
  5. Very nice! Can't wait to use this guard
  6. That guy would make a perfect body guard for the artifact collector in my current fm project
  7. Yeah going on what jdude said, netbooks are the way to go as far as a general use laptop for least amount of money. I believe most of them have linux on them, so if you don't mind that than this could be a possible option for you, you'd have to check for s-video/other video out. I'd consider getting a warrenty or replacement plan if possible, because if an internal hardware piece gets damaged chances are slim for cheap repairs. Even if you wanted to do it yourself, it can be a real pain, because laptops tend to integrate a lot of things together. All other points have already been touched on for the most part.
  8. So you're going for a more decorative look for the armor?
  9. Would the builders hire out to the noble class?
  10. yeah the face reminds me of Monty Phython and their goofy faces. But I like the armor, especially the hammer symbol on the chest. Badass royalty
  11. One of the biggest mapper "No-No's" is making a giant cube around your whole map. Plus not having to render a giant cube will increase the preformance. Also remember to think of you map as a bunch of hallways, thats the way the doom 3 engine renders the map, with visportals to section them off.
  12. Hot damn dude, thats crazy. Congratz on your 1000th post
  13. It was selected by the public. There haven't been too many d3 mods for a while, although I've seen a few in the works that looked sweet, TDM is the only one to make it. I'd say we did pretty good, considering the fact that we didn't do any fancy promoting like a lot of other mods did (Saint Lucia was our big promoter). We'll see what happens next year, when TDM gets released... hopefully...
  14. Those look really nice! What really stands out to me is the space you fill in the rooms.
  15. Those skulls should go nicely with some pagan places
  16. I too like the variety. Nice work Spring.
  17. I'll update moddb EDIT: DONE
  18. When you're finished, you can pack it up and get it ready for a release. http://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php/Release
  19. Don't feel too bad. I've had to abandon some projects before, and so have others. Its a way of learning the hard way, but you'll become a better mapper through it
  20. What windows version are you using?
  21. What did you put in for fs_game? You should put in Thiefs_den or Saint_lucia depending on what demo assets you're using Also, if it keeps crashing when you open DR, and you can't do anything but close out, go to c:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\DarkRadiant and delete user.xml
