  1. Completed. Looking forward to getting closer to Flint's throat so Foxley can put a knife in it so he knows what it's like to be Grunt.
  2. Takedowns are entirely possible with current game play it just takes practice I was able to knock out guards in this way in behind closed doors. One thing that might be thought about as if the player jumps on a Guard the guard would fall over and get knocked out. I'm sure that the player weighs more than a wooden crate.
  3. 10 hours. 2 main objectives done, still searching for some 100 loot. I really like how these missions are sprawling and unfamiliar and only over time spent in the landscape does it become familiar and understood. The scenery is well done enough that I remember layouts even while not playing.
  4. Penny 2 Penny 3 Requiem I really love those three. Hasn't changed, there are a lot of missions I'm yet to complete.
  5. Here's another to add. TDM will never have pagan class.
  6. Loving the thoughts Taquito. I agree TDM needs more lore, even if only in text form...it can still inspire ideas.
  7. This mission is like an entire episode to a game. It's ridiculous.
  8. If Garrett completes a mission and goes to the store before the next mission with the amount of money he stole in the previous mission then the landlord doesn't get their cut. This continues for several missions and landlord is complaining because Garrett doesn't give the landlord any money ever. Apparently he steals everything clothes food, etc He doesn't have to pay for anything except items for the next mission. Garrett is greedy.
  9. Is this for T2 or TDM? TDM has no Hammers, Hammerites, no Thief lore / IP, etc.
  10. 8 hours on this sucker. Played over a couple days and had to remember my bearings but all the time was well spent and it didn't even feel like 8 hours and I also feel like I missed a ton of stuff in the mission.
  11. I also think there should be a random set of intervals where if you make a noise 4 get seen for a brief moment that the enemy will not notice you at all and chalk it up to just being something else in the environment or their mind playing tricks on them like something random once every so often just like when you pickpocket there is a chance that they won't notice for not notice
  12. I can help out with sounds as well. I'm especially talented when it comes to non-human voices or sounds. The great looking model and I also agree that the animation for movement should not be similar to the way a human Mobility is. The way that the monkey beasts moved so rigidly and unnatural was a nice touch. Giving each monster as much identity to itself as possible will always make the best results.
  13. I've been using dark radiant long enough that I wanted to start a thread about my experience with the program. I still don't know everything it takes to complete creating a basic level butt I haven't approached the editor in a way that I was creating levels as an end result. I found that approaching the editor as if it was a game itself and just having fun with it and building and trying out things was the most rewarding way to use the program myself. I'm very familiar on a professional level with an audio recording and mixing software and radian is very much similar in a creation process of making a song or a similar work of art with the building of layers and the project going through infant stages to maturity. Another thing that has helped me greatly is learning shortcut keys for saving time. I pretty much check every new piece of brushwork or change and dmap and explore it in game. Sometimes I will look at an issue for a couple minutes deciding the best scenario of Hell 2 ad the floor or a roof or a ceiling or a wall with minimum selecting brushes to save time because there are endless possibilities to fix and change the grid butt obviously the fastest and most efficient way allows for the most progress to be made. I also have a knack 4 building all the brushwork by hand and using clipper religiously. It's extremely important to have a blueprint in mind or drawn out on paper 2 use as a guide and I've also found completing a rough version of the entire map with just walls and Floors and then adding detail to each section. I enjoy the instant results as well with being able to make changes end it also reminds me of when I was coding HTML for a web page is a little bit as well. Also making half of an object copy paste and flipping the brush work is another good short cut copying and pasting are integral for the success of good usage of time mapping. My biggest problem is I need to create Less open spaces and confined areas because visual portals n the engine gets put under a lot of tax with such large open areas. Alberic's curse is a good example of a nation that has a large outdoor area where the player can navigate all around yet still it is open space. So I'll be filling in my thoughts on the program and keep up with this thread as a journal to interesting experiences I can share with the community.
  14. It makes sense that it could be another person shadow but if I saw a shadow approaching from behind I would turn around and see who it was especially if my job was to be on patrol. I list all kinds of random pipe dreams for this mod. I doubt most of them will ever happen unless I learned what it takes to make that happen which I am slowly learning more butt this is just a suggestion thread and I share my mind here.
  15. I don't come to this forum for politics but for the record I don't think that Obama was suited for or prepared for the job either.
  16. Fantastic fan mission. Do you plan to author another mission in the future?
  17. If the player casted a shadow. One that could alert guards.
  18. If there are no monsters in a level is it necessary to even at monster clip?
  19. Not dead yet! Have a pretty solid story but it has Loose Ends would anyone care here to review the story and give me input? I'm planning to release the mission over probably six seven or eight parts and each part will have its own set of issues that are not related to the main story but once all the missions are complete the main story will be tied in to all the previous missions with readables conversations end things like that. I want to start with a small Mission so I can learn how to caulk walls and monster clip butt I just get so wrapped up in creating brushes and adding detail that I have like 20 Works in progress and nothing completed. Is there a way to copy and paste brushes from DR our session to another? Or do I have to make a prefab and then import it into the mission that I want to use it in?
  20. Yeah pursue the Skyrim modders and see if they can come up with something unique and I still play style and then everyone here can have another game to play besides the dark mod.
  21. I think the text under the object in the GUI should be only displayed for few seconds. Does the grid GUI have ability to show weapons in grid but not show weapons in corner of screen? I can get the weapons and inventory to appoint with opacity that they are not too much of a visual impairment however the health bar when that becomes to transparent it's hard to tell the exact amount of health the player has. I'm also thinking the possibility of a smaller-sized light gem.
  22. I can make two sets of vocals if someone can rerig the model appearance. I can also asign sound shaders. What else is necessary?
  23. My take is besides servants, armed guards don't stop til you're dead. They deserve the same...I've learned taking 2-3 well placed broadheads in exposed unarmored places in elite guards followed by one good slash will take them down. The stealth in TDM is difficult, so is the combat. Why not capitalize on that aspect too?
