Ha! Those city watch folks are such pigs! I've been making a hugging/kissing animation. In my test a atdm:ai_citywatch works with a atdm:ai_whore. They hug and look all cute and when they stop the city watch says coldly: "move along!" and digs his nose. And wipes his nose on his coat! A true gentleman who knows how handle ladies!

Add a drunk-falling-down-stairs animation to the guards and we'll be set.

After being able to FINALLY experience TDM in the way it's meant to (high resolution with 16x AA and AF) and having a constant 60+ FPS... WOW I just have to say this game is so freakin' beautiful! and amazing! It's like a different game at these settings

My poor gaming rig is so old now. I'll need to upgrade this year...I can hope anyway. No used parts have yet come through the shop which are better than what I already have. I really want to get away from this geforce 550ti and 800MHz RAM.

I just dmapped my WIP, the haunted manor with real windows, and on my new PC I'm getting 60 FPS. However, on my old PC It drops down to 30 FPS in some parts which isn't good. I was thinking, should I just release two versions? One with real windows and one with fake windows for people whos system can't the real ones?

IMHO, 30fps in Thief-style games is just fine if in certain areas (not the whole map, obviously, but parts of it).

Ever have a file that won't open? I did. I wondered why. I ran "strings" on the file to see what data was inside and got nothing. Then I opened it with a hex editor and had a look... all zeros...? Its nice to have an OS that ships with useful tools like this by default.

I was going to, but siegeshop took up my time. Then I thought of upgrading my p.o.s. Samhain map, but decided to leave that quirky little mission alone. Next year, I suppose. Maybe an 'Garreth goes to Hel' type mission, inspired a bit by the game 'Rune', mixed with the strangeness of the "Constantine" mansion.

avg free is based on kaspersky code. Just do custom install and uncheck everything that can be unchecked, then turn off notifications in avg settings. Then it's a well behaved a.v.

The same goes for Moneypack/geandarm/FBI hijack trojan, except done in safe mode with cmd prompt instead... run all from flash drive.

Safe mode/networking: bleepingcomputer.com > rkill, RogueKiller, JRT, AdwCleaner, Combofix.... Follow up with Malwarebytes, then polish off with tweaking.com's AIO repair

I often use a program called Basket Note Pad (linux) for organizing my ideas for missions. It can help a lot.

Goes to update his install of 2.0 beta. Starts to get annoyed that it is taking over an hour to do. Scrolls up and notices he accidentally typed keep-kirrors and is now DOWNGRADING to 1.8 as a result. Woops! This is why you keep backups, folks. I can just retrieve it from my external HDD...

I've finally found a way to create a trap, which reacts depending on the weight lying on it as well as forces applied. Will upload a video and a description soon.
