  1. urgue - what GPU you use? Bohemia deal with black / translucent specular issue atm with certain manufacturer's drivers. //Switch from 32 to 64bit... still issue. DW - just realised this is not same issue. Count post rem.

  4. ok... Take it you paid no attention to what I said, and waited an additional two weeks to fix. I already told you about the path and install error and the / and \ that you confuse. Idk why I bother, really... and I rarely get help when I ask (usually because I figure it out myself or am told everyone's "too busy"). Now I know why there is the ignore list - you're its first resident, congrats.

  7. you can post the .map file as text - open it in wordpad or something - it's how I was sharing my levels (and is why no-one played them).

  11. I still play No more room in hell... Pwnd that one totally. And the other one... with the GPS thingy ... Contagion... Never-ending, random, inescapable, fast, overwhelming pressure and panic. Not sitting in a corner yawning til it shambles past and I can creep up behind it or just put a box in front of it and hack it to death with a sword.
  12. the only scary zombie is the one i can't beat in a 100m sprint. zombies are boring unless they pop out of unexpected places (like graves and in great numbers) - hammer haunts are scary. I hate levels where there are zombies I have to take ages to "kill" with my sword (because its faster than avoiding them) and haunts that I have to just yawn past, without holy water... Really slows a level down and they aren't scary adversaries. Ambiance only, I think, like where all the skels and zombies are in the collapse gaol pit in that one level, where you have to get over them to get to the warden's key - and if u fall in - ur toast. Then there's that one at the end that wakes up if you touch him... Now THAT'S scary - waking them up - as wandering "guards" - yawnfest, like haunts. imo. Best used as surprise "guard mines" and haunts work best as "un-ko-able" guards in crypts and stuff.... other than that - I hate em all. They're pap and I want to kill them with fire arrows, but I'm never allowed, because I just have to yawn in the corner til they walk past... Prefer traps and puzzles to haunt and zed and ghost that comes straight thru all the walls at u and forces u to move on all the time away from it, but eh well - we'll see what happens... Yep - L4D(1) - one of my fave games after thief games. Fast and numerous and unrelenting = shoot or run..? BOTH!!!!
  13. Group was easy to find by using steam search "groups" darkmod - a few others, ranks about 4th/5th. Added to my group list and I can post comment, view all members, read updates, - just like being a normal member... Weird that the join message is "only by invite" and then lets you in... Can even leave the group, so am a "member" - just reports that "by invite only". Weird.

  15. Spooks, More than one person told me once to not mess with player state using cvars/console, and instead create items (entities?) and/or use scripts. Eg, "invulnerability potion" turns on console god mode via script. "shrink/speed/"drunk" potion" alters player size/slow/fast/camera rot. via script, etc... "Wallwalking" potion would turn on noclip or something, for set time, or something. I think I started writing a script for player size change, because I couldn't get sense from that page other than the different configs of maps n stuff (rotations of "entities as rooms for routes" but came up with a more elegant "mechanical" solution for that using switches that set a room's rotation on difficulty and/or after event / hidden objective - again using some script) and naming dif. levels. I wanted the player to shrink like in Alice in Wonderland / turn into a rat with a potion, to get thru a small hole. In the end, decided to not bother and focus on other things. I hate scripting - I can't do it any more without a punch-bag nearby and I've been at it since BASIC on my BBC... Maybe you can find a way around it by applying a "poison" effect to the player at start via difficulty that alters whatever it is you need..? Not scrubbed - it's useful info - moved to context (eg, http://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Difficulty_Editor) perhaps, since I think that's where they are used. idk. Maybe cvar doesn't mean console variable in this instance, and means client/config variable - idk... can't figure it. This is a real pain. the spawnarg for when it is supposed to make them hit the brush/entity/prefab under (mesh/whatever) messes up and it ends up floating (perhaps removes "seed brush" as intersecting degenerate triangle) and sometimes saves entity count, sometimes doesn't. I don't understand that spawnarg, but use seed a lot. doubt it is an issue for (m)any other people tho. but it really messes up for loot...

Problem with target dir DR (I think) whitespace not breakspace: https://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars/spaces.html - real pain to deal with. Problem all over (esp SQL/PHP db lookup [' ']) - dw about it, simply force name to have no space. Just use _ or have headache. I will PM you text copy (inc. line) instead of add to github - expect by 25/07/16, probably sooner. ---- Also - nice one on making updater autostart (++) - I never received unknown publisher warning - cert is free on win 10. One problem - your app is 64bit and so will not update on 32bit system (which TDM 32bit) - already I had to provide a guy with 32bit updater in order to get TDM 2.04.   20. i fixed it - no issue, likely related to installer test, since TDM is 32bit - may as well delete thread. TypeError: ipb.textEditor.getEditor(...) is undefined
