Using a BSOD reader I get results in all directions, so does anyone have experience with hal.dll BSODs?

Which program are you using to read the dump files from your BSODs? I use NirSoft Bluescreenview myself, usually manages to highlight all the offending files in a BSOD situation.

Mapping tip of the day: telling a single entity "don't spawn" on difficulty 2 and "use origin X" on difficulty 2 results in a hard crash.

Thief has its flaws yes but holy fuck is it fun to play! I'm very impressed so far!

Ugh, if my annoyance with HL2's loading screens was any indication, even if they're fast in Teef, I think I'd get quite annoyed with seeing them that often.

After watching the Totalbiscuit review, it looks like there are a lot of loading screens, and having just replayed HL2, that sounds like it's going to be very annoying.

I might even go so far as to say, for the most part, (unless you're someone who has an audience for the quality/style of the review, rather than the timing of it), that journalism isn't the right word for it, unless you're willing to delve into the ever present leaked copy environment, being blacklisted by one publisher (usually happens to people who break NDA), can result in blacklists from others and if you don't have an audience already, you might not get one.
