  1. It's something that really should be in the game, we just need someone who can make it happen step up and do it. It' really open up more rooftop style maps.
  2. Hey All, I've wanted to make a play through video on my level for long time. However I always felt it's really not something you should do. However I think enough time has gone by now (4 years since release) that I can finally do it and not feel off put by it. However I would never commentate that. I think that WOULD be over the top pretentious. lol So here you go, both Part 1 & 2 of how I imagined you would play Briarwood Manor. Of the videos of it I've seen; some of you are so imaginative in your play throughs, you did things I'd never have thought of. Love that. I'm also doing a GIVE AWAY of a Gaming Headset!   3. No, the discord is to promote the growth of the game, and the community. It's not just for us. It's a great place for new mappers to ask questions and get them answered pretty quick which improves their chances of making a map, or assets and feeling like they've contributed. It's not a special club lol.
  4. A grappling hood idea would work just as well. Or you the player could just carry a coil of rope with grappling good. Or you could be really get meme and give him a whip and use it ala Indie in Raiders of the Lost Art and swing across gaps. That'd be useful, it would just need a mapper to equip it to the player, and provide an attatchment point. Then the game mechanic would have to take over. I prefer the tightrope though because of the balance mechanism. Some of those apartments in Venice are 3 to 4 stories high n would be little ticklish for a nooby to cross.
  5. This was an excellent mission. Very fun to play. I think grayman would be very proud of how this was completed. Well done everyone who helped finish his final work.

  7. That would be really helpful. I don't notice this problem at all, and I just replayed it. If you can note the rooms and maybe even the music (if you know it).
  8. I think the problem here is, I don't have a location_settings entity in the map anywhere. Never even heard of it before until you mentioned it. Is this something that's been added since 2.06? How is it used and where is it found Dragofer?

There's no option to "Get Custom version" If I click Advanced Options, I get a new window which has the following options: Don't search for new Mirrors Prevent TDM Update from Updating itself Don't delete differential update packages after applying them. Target folder Proxy and that's it. If instead of clicking Advanced Options, and just click Continue, it just updates. No Get Customer version. Clealrly I"m missing something lol. Current Vers is 2.09 64 bit.

  11. I checked this and I am getting an error. Unrecognised command. I have the latest version. Updated before trying this.
  12. The results of the vote are very interesting. I tried all 3 presets and to be honest I couldn't tell any difference. They all looked the same. Latest version and years of experience in the game.
  13. Some people might not know how to enable this. I went through the settings and couldn't see an option to enable it. Screenshot would give good examples, even just of the design. Doesn't have to be perfect. So I can't vote, because I can't see the alternatives.
  14. Check upstairs in the stable for the guys around the table. Yeh that light is an electric light and I did intend it to be there, but the noise is a bit off putting, but never found out how to change it. Music that stops is usually because you've moved past a visportal or triggered another sound. THanks, glad you liked it V339 did a nice video ghosting the mission on YouTube.

  16. Aside from those mentioned, and they are some of the best. William Steele is my favouite. Cold Hursts Eaton is a really nice mission and has some original ideas, and a awesome twist at the end. My personal favourite type of mission are manor houses. The Accountant series is also very good.
  17. I think a better way would be have a readable where a servant mentions it's but we still need to find it. Just mention the room is all you need. In my level people complained about the switch being hard to find, but they knew what room it was in. I like the idea of since it's a secret room, the switch should be discreetly hidden.
  18. At one point I accidently found that switch and was surprised to see that door open. Then I died. Next save I couldn't find it, and didn't know where I'd triggered it. If you're going to do something like that, then it's good to give a visual clue. Game devs often use green light but I think in TDM that's just too easy. I knew which room the door was in, but didn't know where the switch was. Damn I can't get spoilers working on this new editor style.
  19. Ran into a game breaking bug. Hornsby offered a purse, lockpick and a map, but I could only pick up the lockpick. There's no way to pick up the rest. So stuck now.
  20. Excellent mission. Loved the inventive story, and some of the mechanics you employed. Especially **** diary. I especially loved the unexpected ending which I thought was really an inventive twist. Very clever map. Can't wait for your next one. One issue. If you noclip into the secret room before opening it, you can't get out without noclipping. Not an issue since I shouldn't have been there in the first place lol. Congratulations, very well done mission.
  21. I found performance fine with a solid 132 to 150 fps throughout. However I have a pretty good PC.
