DR freezing after being in use for a few hours:

I had thought my DR crashing/freezing was because my system was o/c'd, but that not appears not to be the case.

 

What seems to happen is DR will freeze-crash and become unresponsive and this has happened in-between save/snapshot so I loose all the work I had just done. So while this is extremely aggravating, is there a way I capture these crash so they can be diagnosed by the team..?

Bikderdude, have you looked in the Windows Error Reports yet? Maybe there's some info in the Application section about this.

Hmmm nothing obvious in the event viewer.

Perhaps you could install the free Visual Studio Express and see if that has any ability to attach to a hung process and inspect its state or get a backtrace?

 

Unfortunately I know very little about Windows debugging myself, but that's where I would start if I had to attempt it.

Another guess: Did you try to disable autosave and do it manually?

Have you tried building from source? There might be a fix in there for your issue. I have not had any issues like this and I am massively overclocked on my laptop and I've left DR open overnight without issue.

Ive never had an issue with autosave before now and I wouldnt have a clue about compiling.

I refer the right honourable gentleman to the statement I made some moments ago. Other than trying to install development tools I don't have any specific ideas about how to debug a broken Windows progress. I do have a Windows partition at home though, maybe I can find some time to download Visual Studio Express and see if it's even possible to use it for this purpose.
