Needed for Standalone: Chalice of Kings

I've gotten Chalice of Kings down to the following warnings (some of which I suspect aren't important, like the guis and player_sounds).

However, the warnings don't show everything that is missing. When I kill someone, the blood decals do this (see image below):

 

Something is obviously missing/incorrect but I'm not sure what. Particle file? Material shader? The blood is there so it isn't the image itself.

Is this the new blood decal texture? I made it the same format and file size and name as far as I remember. Maybe because the model texture changed? Does this have influence on a decal?

No, the model wouldn't affect it at all.

 

It looks to me like it's missing a blend filter in the material shader, but I don't know what the material shader is, or how to find out.

The original doesn't have an alpha channel either, so I doubt that's it.

 

Of course, if this really is hurt02.tga, I can't find any material shader that points to it in TDM.

 

edit: Ah, that was the culprit. Copied the material shader over from D3 and now it works as it should. Thanks for letting me know which file it was, or that would have been impossible to find.

 

Now I just have to find what particle effect is supposed to play when I stab them...I'm getting black boxes.

bloodspray.tga I think or you could also look out for splat1 to splat 9!

Phew! Took about an hour of searching and trying things out, but I finally found the right particle effect. Bloodspray is now working.

Note to self: "Can't drop body" grunt has now been replaced with "blackjack draw" sound somehow....

Just so I'm not missing something, those are the decals you did many months ago, right? There's no new ones in that archive?

Yes - there's no new ones in that archive.

I did them just for replacement back then, but if some of them need to be improved you can tell me :)

I can't promise that it'll be quick but I can help out whenever I find some spare time, sure!

What especially is needed? I thought that these were already all of the necessary decals :blink:

* textures/decals/ballburn01 is already done in these decals of mine (still it is stated in the thread), but I'll try to make good replacements of the rest mentioned in the thread.

Hmm, the error I'm getting is :

But the texture is indeed there. The original doesn't have an alpha channel, so I'm not quite sure what "makealpha" means or what the problem is.

Ah, figured it out. Makealpha doesn't work with .dds files; the relevant files need to be converted to .tga to work. Almost there!

I probably converted them to .dds when adding them to SVN; all of our images are .dds unless otherwise specified.
