From the creators of "Penumbra" series and "Amnesia".

Here is the teaser:

Brilliant, really interesting and promising!

It'a sci-fi horror with some (as usual) lovecraftian elements.

Cogito, ergo sum!

I dunno if it is a coincidence, but SOMA means, in finnish, cute/pretty. Maybe it is sarcasm? ;)

I thought that was "SÖPÖ"... ò_-

Just kidding, it's probably both LOL. xD I do think it's a coincidence tho. :P Frictional games isn't exactly known to put finnish word references into their game.

Or it is a Brave New Word reference.

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

The opening concept is cool, if I understood it. Your brain is plugged into the collective but you're still walking around under its power, so it sets up a natural way where you can explore the space & avoid threats but still be centrally mindfucked by the collective or whatever and always under its spell at the same time.

And it sets up the "unreliable narrator" possibility, which has potential. And cybertech distortion is probably a bit more palatable than "paranoia" as a game mechanic... I mean in the sense some people complained the early fear mechanic was a bit contrived, but if it's a brain implant then anything goes & the fiction has a ready way to make sense of it.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
