Screenshot? The bottom left should display your currently equipped weapon, but nothing looks like purple dots that I know of.

And in typical fashion, it's not doing it now.

The dots had appeared after upgrading to 2.02 this morning. Since then I've switched off AA (from 2x) and I noticed I had weapons again but no dots. Went back to 2x, no weapons again but still no dots.

This is with The Caduceus of St Alban 2.0.

EDIT: my restart had taken me to Easy hence why I had weapons, doh!

EDIT 2: purple dots are very likely Riva Tuner. I think using Ctrl, Alt, and A keys triggered the screen recording. Just a coincidence if happened after upgrading.

So, sorry for the stupid question.

Classic first post, huh ? :-)

Sometimes it feels as if the guards hear a bit too well now. I was just playing Lockdown, and made some noise in the hideout room inside the tavern - the guards on the other side of the wall became alerted and rushed into the tavern searching for me. The hideout does have a (non-opening) window, but still, there was a wall between me and the guards. It's possible that they became alerted previously when I slipped past them inthe yard, and the noise I made tripped some trigger which was enough to cause this slightly exaggerated reaction, though.

Probably the mapper did not vis portal the window properly, causing sound to go through the wall.

What hearing sensitivity setting are you using in the settings menu?

Jumping does make a lot of noise. Whether they would hear you or not depends on the layout of the place and how it's visportalled.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
