Dark Souls 3 : The Crashiest Edition

Recommended Posts

Welp, Dark Souls 3 came out today, and it's nothing but a crash fest for a lot of people.

Seems to be concentrated on Nvidia 700 series cards as evidenced by this thread on reddit:

Requested refund, fuck this shit. I'm not putting up with crashes every few minutes.

The worst part is, it's not the game crashing; the game is taking out the nvidia display driver.

I have to hard boot the computer to get it back, every time it does this.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Depends on how offended on principle you are, but you can play fine with lighting on low until it's patched. If you're all "rar rar fuck them got my money back" then that's cool too.

Guess I'll be waiting a couple of weeks to get it then.

Prepare to unequip helmets, shields, play Knight, put Lighting to low, and sacrifice a goat at midnight on the northernmost fjord of Xzfqiiizmtsath

I did cancel my refund request, as I ran it with lighting on Low and had no other crashes.

Will change my review once the patch comes out to fix this.

I hope it's good, Dark Souls 2 no longer scratches the itch and I want something new to play.
