I stupidly messed with my Windows sdk folders manually while trying to compile the game in vs2013. 6 hours later, I've reformatted my boot drive and am going through the long process of rebuilding the bastard. Yes I know I touched something I shouldn't, but I still blame Windows. Not exactly modular is it?

I'm having surgery on my WASD hand tomorrow. I'm told it could be 3 weeks before I use those fingers again, so no playing or mapping for me :-( I'll have to get my TDM fix purely from messing with scripts and code.

Personally I'd put that money toward a 500gb ssd. I always have to uninstall something these days to play something else and that's a bummer sometimes.

Dayz benefits from running on a RD as do most the ARMA titles but there aren't many games that do.

You've got to take a moment and appreciate older games that come with pages and pages of documentation on the disk, which teach you how to use the level editor. They even shipped with example levels, showing the features. Man, this industry has changed so much...

I did the political compass test and apparently belong in a Pirate Party. I wonder if being part of an open source project has influenced my politics. I do think information & people want to be free.

Wolfenstein surprisingly has a few similarities to Thief. Most buildings having multiple entrance points, there are places to crawl and climb to sneak around, readables, guard patrols you can sneak around and pick off and secrets to discover everywhere. Very good ambient music and graphics as well. It feels a bit like a FPS MGS at times

Does anyone knows why buider_forger have this heavy metal collar? Are those remains from Doom models? I'm making diving helmet for this model so it's perfect, but what is its purpose?
