  1. I'm no menu expert, I hope you can get it fixed. When you say you've check our FAQ, is it this one?
  2. Are you aware of the creep command? You walk very slowly, thus allowing you to "creep" up on enemies. Check your controls for it.
  3. With Darkmod, its more of a toolset, rather than a fully blown campaign. Although... we never really know what the future might hold....
  4. Ooooh, now thats elite. Great as usual Springheel
  5. A while ago, I asked greebo about the possibility of some kind of marking system. I was working on a hedgemaze map and I was thinking about the movie, "The Labyrinth". I said: And he said:
  6. This is a conversation I had with bradford28. First the FMs wouldn't show in the menu. I told him to create a folder and for the fms and he can now see them, however, the fms won't install. I don't know anything about how the menu/fm list works, so if someone knows how to help him, I'll relay it back to him. bradford28 Great to see the mod finally released! I've been waiting a long time. Well done to all involved. However I am having problems. I used the small downloader program yesterday to install the mod. It seemed to run fine. However I could not play it because no missions appeared in the list of missions. The training mission and another pk4 mission file are in the fms folder but neither appear in the list of missions. Is there a simple solution? I am thinking of now downloading the zip file version to see if that may work. Tels Did you put it into the "fms/training_mission/" folder? I think that wouldn't work, put it into the "fms/" folder or better into for instance "fms/chalice/" (each on its own) folder. bradford28 You misunderstand. I did download one mission and it is in the fms folder with the training mission. However neither mission appears in the list when I try to start a new mission. Did you put it into the "fms/training_mission/" folder? I think that wouldn't work, put it into the "fms/" folder or better into for instance "fms/chalice/" (each on its own) folder. happycheeze Hmm, have you tried restarting your game? If they continue to not show up on the list, go to doom 3/darkmod/fms/ and create a folder for whatever fm you downloaded, so lets say for example: you downloaded outpost. Create a folder called outpost. Move outpost.pk4 into the folder. Open the .pk4 file with some sort of achiving program (like 7zip) and extract the following files: darkmod.txt, install_splash.tga, readme.txt and startingmap.txt. Now go back into Darkmod and see if it appears on the list. bradford28 Oh dear, there are definite problems with the menus. I did what you said and the two missions do now appear in the missions list. However when I click on one to install it I get a message that TDM launcher can not be found so I can't install the maps.Very frustrating. happycheeze bradford28, oh dear indeed. I remember on earlier builds people were having menu problems, but not like yours. I'll tell someone on the team who would be more knowledgeable in that area.
  7. I recently installed Might and Magic 6 and played it for a few hours and thought to myself "Damn, they just don't make games like this anymore."
  8. Hmm, it works on Vista, but now Windows 7? Saint Lucia ran perfectly on my at-the-time, Windows 7 desktop and laptop. Very odd. Prehaps it is the cmd window.
  9. I just uninstalled DR .10 and installed 1.00. Everything seems to be fine, except for the rotate Z button. I can't click it. I can go Modify>Rotate>Rotate Z no problem, but the shortcut button on the left side panel doesn't work. I can click all the other rotate and mirror buttons, but not Rotate Z. Anyone else have this problem?
  10. @MT Is it possible to move the "Today's active content" back to the top like the older style? If not, its cool, I can get used to it.
  11. Take a deep breath and have a nice cup of cider
  12. Patience is key here. Like Sneaksie said, once its loaded, reloading the game will be a snap. I've had someone complain on moddb saying he wouldn't play it at all, because it look too long to load on his comp.
  13. I got it to run wonderfully on Win 7 beta. So it should work for you.
  14. I saw my brother playing the demo years ago (for Majesty 1), I never played it, but I did hear some good things about it.
  15. Now that would be a sweet project. Making a TDM version of your home.
  16. I absolutely love Dark Radiant. Its my favorite map making tool. I used to do a lot of Half-Life and Half-life 2 mapping, but after using DR, its hooked me After learning the ropes and getting used to it, you'll start to mapping pretty fast. Whether you have pre-made drawn out plans for a map or just go along with it in your head, its an amazing tool. Plus its opensource and always being updated I highly recommend trying it out.
  17. On MODDB someone asked if they can use DR with Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, I told them to ask here.
  18. I believe aluminum haste is. Hes the one that told me about it.
  19. Also a thing to note: When you install Windows 7, if you have vista pre-installed, it will be a seamless transition. I had vista on my laptop, installed the windows 7 beta and I had all my original settings, wallpapers, account name/password. It was like nothing really changed, except it ran better ./ Also, about sata drives, if you have a Windows XP SP2 (service pack 2), it will detect sata drives.
  20. Its best to install winxp first, than vista or win 7. If you do in the reverse order, xp won't recognize vista/7 and when you reboot, it will only go into xp. You'll either have to manually change the bootloader, or you'll need to reinstall the vista's/7's boot loader,
