People above me are right that simply pandering to someone's opinion will not help. You need to communicate. Otherwise you'll have built up untold frustrations that will just explode in an argument. Be emotionally intelligent and speak about this seriously. These are just items after all. I'm not saying that you have to be a jew about gifts. Just saying that I think, it's not healthy when you feel that you have to do something and not because you want to do it. At the same time it's not that great when you feel that you don't owe it to do something for each other. Just find some balance together. It's hard with children but, don't avoid the uncomfortable, awkward discussions. It pays off to talk no matter what. You can even find some compromise like getting a second hand newer watch or do a jailbreak for the iOS. The benefits of those updates have always been questionable starting even from the earliest mobile Apple devices. And if a certain model of the watch is so important, maybe you can get it. Idk. But priorities come first. We have many vices. Cars are a vice too or whatever else you're into.

Ofc it all depends on a case by case basis. Just saying that overall it's a good sign if software is FOSS. Usually you rely on who the developer or the company who gives grants. For me the Electronic Frontier Foundation is quite authoritative and credible so that's why I use the Privacy Badger for now. I don't know if I want many extensions to block things on the net all at once, all the time. Just using the ones that work, if I change my mind I use others. Doesn't hurt to try to new things sometimes.

I use the Privacy Badger. It's also very lightweight. I thought that the Google Analytics site has some tweaks but it looks like that's only for website creators. Oh well. Thanks anyways.

Does anyone know how to turn off googleads.g.doubleclick.net and static.doubleclick.net from YouTube tracking me? I turned off personalized ads. Are these domains because of the setting where YouTube saves my watch and location history?

Recently "discovered" that streaming YouTube URL's is more reasonable than having that YT tab hang around all the time. Better for RAM usage at least. I use Media Player Classic Black Edition. Although there is a workaround for the plain version as well. But the Black Edition has all the filters built in to make it work without any additional tweaking. Far too often binge watching becomes procrastination and this loop never stops during work.

Nobody cares unfortunately in my region. We're all going to get infected anyway because it's in the air. The virus gets in our eyes and we're done. Sisyphic efforts. At least I was infected and had my 15 days in hospital as well as getting vaccinated when it was available. But not everyone finds out the smart thing to do until it's time.
