  2. It would appear that whatever was wrong has been fixed, and I'm not sure how because this is without altering drivers, applying any patches or disabling soft shadows. Will report on altered conditions if it comes up again.

  4. I'm having lighting issues specifically on this mission. This is with soft shadows off, but I have similar problems with them turned on. Upon restart it seems to come up with different lighting issues each time. I just started "Cleaning Up the Neighbourhood" and it also is broken. Will be posting this in a separate thread appropriately. Edit edit: Just happened in William Steele. My version of TDM seems broken. The lighting was perfectly functional yesterday but I just downloaded some new missions off the list. Is there any way that would have broken things?

  7. If it makes you feel any better I literally cannot play the game myself, I have someone acting as "surrogate player" for testing purposes. Look forward to it when I can, though.

  10. A really solid mission all around. Has aged incredibly well with the soft shadow update. Some help for anyone stuck on the light puzzle! For the answer.

  12. "CoD generation" is actually outdated at this point, most kids now are in the "Fortnite" generation so you'd be referring to a Battle Royale mode.
  13. Tomb Raider 1-4 made jumping across a simple pit into an actual effort, something I don't think we've really since seen. You would wind up counting the amount of steps you made leading into a jump so you'd know how far you would go, lining up the jump before you made it. By contrast the new games just feel like solid but unoriginal derivatives of other third person games with narratives that feel derivative of Spec Ops: The Line.
  14. Hey guys I figure we should make The Dark Mod more accessible for general audiences and make our game less unique so I figured some helpful pointers would help you guys out! Slow motion powers that use up a meter that only builds by stealing loot.Highly graphic (also probably slow motion) x-ray kills and knockouts. (See attached image)A fully semi-automatic crossbow or something with clip reloaded ammunition. (Chu-ko-nu comes to mind)Mark and execute on above crossbow and possibly also the bow and arrows.Ledge grab kills & kills from above.The ability to knock out guards by throwing bottles at their head.Third person camera for overpowered situational awareness levels.Snap-to-cover system.A radar complete with enemy vision cones.X-ray vision that highlights loot/intractable objects.A tacked on PVP mode that nobody plays and never gets properly developed but has like one or two good ideas in it.I really hope this thread helps you guys improve a good game into a great one!

  16. Without a doubt one of the single best missions I've ever played. I would pay for this as a standalone game, I'll be recommending it to many people from now on.   18. It would seem there is a bug. Both The Dark One (on the TDM discord) and I have this same issue, is a save necessary for recreation? Otherwise a great level.
  19. Either noclip, notarget or a random chance of a glitch upon loading the mission seems to cause coins tucked away in this specific location to become entirely unfrobbable. Turning noclip and notarget off do not fix the issue. Oddly I've never run into this issue in any other mission.   20. I can't seem to get the mission to display in my mission list after deleting it manually to install from the download list. I think I'm missing something obvious.
  21. Let's players are some of the worst to look at unless they're doing commentary in post; they either play the game blind or have to create overreaction-filled suspense based on poor play. At no point will you find anything truly educational or impressive in a lets play unless they label it a walkthrough or a guide outside of the ocassional fluke
  22. That's just perfectionism and ghosting, for the most part. People can attest to that in terms of just my video output.
