  1. Problem here is, TH2G is quite expensive, and I believe it only supported certain aspect types. Hell I don't think I can even buy one in this country.. It should be rather easy to add eyefinity support, after all it's just a few different aspect ratio changes with a few subset resolutions. 16:10, 32:10, 48:10 = 1440x900, 2400x600, 2880x900, 3840x800, 4320x900 etc etc 16:9, 32:9, 48:9 4:3, 8:3, 12:3 5:4, 10:4, 15:4 You shouldn't need a terribly large list of resolutions for full support of this, the biggest problem I see is the fisheye when using monitors horizontally. Using them vertically like that pic you posted is a diff set of aspect ratios again, but it doesn't seem to suffer from fisheye so maybe that doesn't need to be added? (unless someone in here is truly insane and possesses either crossfire 5000 series or a 5870 eyefinity edition and has 6 monitors, but I'm pretty sure that goes back to standard aspect ratios, just with a truckload of pixels)
  2. To make sure I'm understanding this properly, from what you typed either 1> You put in the autoexec.cfg those lines, and the ingame menu says 4:3 but it is clearly running at the specified parameters resolution values, OR 2> You put in the autoexec.cfg those lines, it is actually running at 4:3, and the other monitors are either inactive, or mirroring the one displaying, which results in the same picture 3 times. in the case of #1, ignore what the menu tells you in the case of #2, your display group may not be active, configured properly, or configured at all
  3. Focus stealing has led to me typing a work login password into an msn window thankfully it was a friend.
  4. Still got this problem Biker? First step, is to make a display group with all 3 monitors and get that setup with the Catalyst Control Centre Then, you edit your \doom 3\base\autoexec.cfg file to have r_mode -1 r_customWidth 5040 r_customHeight 1050 r_mode -1 = nonstandard aspect ratio, the other two set the parameters to use.
  5. Those were also the days where people would tell you "omg man go to www.goatse.cx its awesome" and you'd do it . I also have "fond" memories of Windows 98 shutting down without a problem, then when I turn it on next, it'd overwritten the start cluster to my games folder. Goodbye all my games.. got 2k pro after that and it was all good. On topic... the thing I hate the most about ALL os's I've used... is focus stealing... you start something in the background, updates or installing something, then go to type a nice long email, or forum response.... suddenly, your install cancels or your computer reboots.... why? Because the little window popped up with hotkeys active the entire time, intercepted a 'c' 'e' 'a' or press of the enter key, and then shrunk again, leaving you mildly enraged that such a stupid 'feature' has made it through so many revisions with no way to turn it off (that I know of) At least UAC never does this (on win7 at least, I skipped Vista), it just sits on the taskbar waiting for you to realise it's there.
  6. Speaking of broken harddrives, my friend and his 2 year old daughter came over last night for a bbq. Halfway through, she grabs his 1tb hdd that he brought over for us, and slams it onto the floor. At the very least, the enclosure was destroyed.
  7. They're not that hard, if it really comes down to it you can deadzone kite them with the sword.
  8. Perhaps he means after you "kill" an undead, it gets back up after a while, highly annoyed and at full alert.
  9. They do have monitors like that, in both small bezel single(expensive), and combination monitors (3 frameless screens inside 1 large frame (even more expensive)). Like Biker said, after a while you don't notice the bezels, pity about the fisheye though, agreed there. Heres one of my favourite videos for showing off Eyefinity http://www.youtube.c...x0m31q4xLw&NR=1 This is 3x 3in1 screens, for a MASSIVE wraparound effect. When running TDM in my 4320x900 setup, I usually use fov 110, so guards don't look so horribly overweight
  10. All these beautiful graphics I've been missing (had interaction shader on standard, enhanced looks great) problem now is, after also setting AA from 0 to 16x, if I activate HDR lite, the camera goes very very wonky. Does HDR lite have a known conflict with another setting? Edit: Fixed! Disabled catalyst AI Also, lol @ post prossession, sounds like a funeral...... that could make for a good FM actually *scratches chin*
  11. Very bad idea, I had to abandon my first map because of it, rearranging it for portals would have taken a lot of effort, and required a complete overhaul of the entire map. Maybe swap the chairs for benches, and shrink it down by 1-2 rows? Either way without portals, it's not going to be pretty when you put those AI in, unless you can drastically dumb them down and up the fps. Otherwise, I was very impressed with the video
  12. Open the application, open Task Manager, find the application, right click it, click Set Affinity, then untick <all processors> and the other core(s) until you have it set to just 1 core. I needed to do this to get T1 working
  13. I'll either not touch it for days at a time (like now, scooped up big time on the steam sales, AND have a stack over a foot tall of old games I need to beat...) orrrr.... I'll fire DR, spot something I wanna do, and holy crap it's what o'clock? Aww hell, shop opens in an hour, I can get food/energy drink, I'll do more mapping. Hrm lunch time, time for sleep D:
  14. Project on hold atm, building a small 'prequel' map for it... and the guy doing all my voice clips and low-spec testing had his computer die.. soooooo I'm just gonna release it, when it's done ©
  15. Did you have a 2 monitor displaygroup set up in the CCC panel?
  16. I was thinking models/darkmod/furniture/beds/4posterbed.lwo myself, but couldn't find a way to make that joke without sounding nerdy
  17. Assuming the Builders are equal opportunity employers, and you gave her a hammer, she could be an off duty Builder, either on the grounds or making a trip to a store for supplies... late at night
  18. Red = closed (nothing being rendered on the other side), Green = open (stuff is being rendered) and invisible = not working is probably an easier way to understand it
  19. All depends, it takes 3 command line options for me to do it, but if you want to include the option straight off the menu, I won't disagree with it. You should be able to set up eyefinity with just 2 screens, I used to do it before I got my third. It's just a 2 monitor displaygroup in the CCC. The problem you'll find with games that have crosshairs, is the crosshair sits bang on the monitor divide. You'll also want to NOT use bezel compensation (assuming you've never used eyefinity or set it up before, having NO bezel compensation means the picture stops at 1 screen border and resumes at the next lot of pixels on the next screen over.) r_mode -1 r_customWidth 4320 r_customHeight 900 got that sitting in my autoexec.cfg and it works fine every time. I'm guessing it is a case of how many resolutions do you want to support, Tels. 16:10 and/or 16:9, 2-6+ monitors, various resolutions etc. I myself get 4320x900 3840x800 2400x600 then single monitor resolutions.
  20. Hence the offer to send it, if he wanted to use it for a media thingie.
  21. The screenshot I took is in that res, photobucket is just displaying it as a thumbnail.
  22. I could send you the picture at full resolution if you wanted.
  23. This is the start of RTTC running at 4320x900 That said 20fps when I took the shot, but meh, it's RTTC. Hopefully that same picture will be higher when RTTC is re-released with the optimisations
