  1. A little offtopic (may dear moderators forgive me): Dear TDM FM authors, please visit the topic about the Dishonored Map Editor and vote whatever you want. It's important for me to know your opinion. Thanks in advance .
  2. No, those ones are AvP1, whereas I'm interested in AvP2.
  3. A little offtopic: does anyone have AvP 2 (© 2001 Monolith) source? I know that this source was available to download for a few days or even hours long time ago, but still I can't find it .
  4. AFAIK, the sky dive was in NOLF1, not NOLF2.
  5. What a gift! Thank you, zergrush ! My game&engine source collection has just became a little bigger. BTW, I think that NOLF2 has became an open, but not free software.
  6. AFAIK, Catalyst Control Center on DX11 AMD GPUs = Vision Center on DX10 AMD GPUs.
  7. Garreth, there is no doubt that your new PC will be much more powerful than the old one, but I have a few notes for you: Your A8-5600K already has its integrated GPU, and you're gonna buy a discrete one, Radeon HD 7750. Does it mean that you plan to use them both in Crossfire mode? 1) If not, then maybe you should look at a GPU-less CPUs for the same platform, I mean Athlon 7xx series, which work at almost the same frequency, but are cheaper. 2) If not, then what about the Intel Core i3? Those do have a slightly higher price, but in most cases they will be faster, especially in a single-threaded applications, like TDM.
  8. Well, it is recommended to call srand ((unsigned) time (NULL)) before the first call of rand.
  9. demagogue: The compiler you used was Borland C/C++, not sure about it's version .
  10. Now I get it . Well, I'm not sure that you'll find your dream shell, because it's way difficult to invent & implement a bug free new interface.
  11. What do you mean? All Norton Commander clones have a classic design with a pair of windows (source & destination). When you're using these programs, you just don't need Windows Explorer at all. Ergo, you don't care about Windows environment. Or am I missing something? All those programs are very customizable. It's a pretty easy feature which can be enabled just by one checkbox within the settings of FAR & TC. Do you mean so named cluster losses? Both FAR & TC can do this. FAR & TC can show you as much information as you want. Also, there are 9 or 10 built-in presets you can choose to represent file lists. I've never played Lego, but I think I understand you . I just want to suggest you download FAR (freeware) or Total Commander (shareware) and try them out. Who knows, maybe you'll like them.
  12. I was using Norton Commander and its clones (Volkov Commander, DOS Navigator, FAR Manager, but not Total Commander) since 1990. When you're using these programs, everything is under total, lightning fast control. Most operations have their hot-keys, so there is almost no need in mouse . Nowadays, Total Commander is shareware, FAR Manager is open source and free of charge. Although they may look outdated, they are very powerful and handy tools.
  13. I know, I know . The voice-over actor should have a talent, an experience, etc...
  14. I wish you guys have someone like Stephen Russell who could say this speach (sorry for mistakes ) during this video: "The City of Bridgeport is a nice looking place, but I'm not a nobleman who have a time to admire it. Actually, I usually rob those people. They have gold and jewelry I need, and they have a guardians to watch it. But the latter doesn't matter for me, because I have a lockpicks to sneak into the noblemen's houses and mansions. Also, I have a bow with arrows, and even a sword, but I don't kill people, because it's... unprofessional. The shadows are my friends, so I spread them during my... work. And yes, I'm merciful to every human being, even if I have a sword in my hand, because I just don't kill people no matter what. Sometimes I need to jump over the ledges and... rooftops just to avoid bloodshed. Yes, I'm not an angel, because I hurt people rendering them consciousnessless by my faithful blackjack, but I'm not a murderer neither. You see, I'm just a... thief."
  15. Heh, I was using Norton Commander (and am using its open source clone, FAR Manager, whereas somebody else prefere a commercial one, Total Commander) since 1990, so I just don't give a shit on Windows Explorer's interface . Almost all operations are binded to the hot keys, so I can easily perform them even without looking. The interface of that family of programs is pretty comfortable and has not been changed since 1986, and I'm quite sure it never will. So, if you guys will try to use, say, FAR Manager or Total Commander, there is a strong chance that you'll use them for the rest of your life .
  16. Hey, do you guys know what the day is today? Today is the International Programmer's Day ! Let me congratulate all the TDM coders with this holiday and wish them luck, health, and prosperity. You guys have made a helluva work. Keep it up !
  17. Good idea . Anyone would like to help?
  18. You're right about the sound, but I think it's possible to remove the original dodgy sound track and apply its cleaner version, mixed in Audacity etc.
  19. Hey, it is The Dark Mod! I'm kidding - Actually, I agree, it's too dark there. Agreed once again, this fly-by video requires a faster hardware.
  20. What about as a tool to attract potential gamers on Greenlight?
  21. Diego:Technically, TDM is still a total conversion. When it become standalone, it will be a game. But it was never be a mod .
