  1. Wow! That's very nice Grayman! I have always had an aversion to colour pencils, even colour generally - trying to cure myself with some Gouache paint I bought just recently. =3 Brainstorming some designs and paint schemes for some Space Wolf Dreadnoughts - I don't know why but I'm really happy with the bruiser at the bottom of the page! I wish those power claws weren't like £10 from Forge World >.>
  2. @BC I Just googled "lock this thread" for something obvious but non-inflammatory and was surprised to see that come up as a real thing. @Sotha. Cheers - I would have quit if AS didn't get suspended/banned - that was getting toxic. @NH I think I know that feeling - I was in a bad place a year ago - felt sick all the time. But recuperating and feeling better overall now. Glad you turned around as well! @Shadowhide I don't think you're a troll - if you were you wouldn't have spent many hours creating a mission and learning the software. I just think you have very very high expectations from games, mods and level designers and indeed, of yourself. When you express your frustrations with things not being as complex or as fulfilling as the original Thief and the ambitious FMs from the DromEd era, it unfortunately comes across as rudeness rather than honesty. Just my impression of you.
  3. Ooh, good link - that's something I've never seen before - and interesting for a surviving bridge of that sort since London Bridge has burnt down a couple of times and there's nothing quite like it now in England AFAIK.
  4. Ignore list updated. =-3 I don't know what part of your life was so harsh that it makes you enjoy being like this online, so instead of insulting you back - here have a hug. *Hugs!* You obviously need it. ^.^
  5. Imagine that you are a guest browsing the forum looking at recent topics, wondering if you should join and contribute or at least leave some kind words. I almost didn't join due to Aprilsister's bizarre thread about Melan and co.
  6. Yeah, I agree with you GDG, I had low expectations, especially after trying to reinstall and play Invisible War! Couldn't stand it - 10 minutes in I couldn't believe how clumsy it felt - way clumsier than the original Deus Ex, and that was built on the rickety Unreal Tournament engine! I think my jaw was dropped by the sheer production values on everything... The attention to detail... I really care how I affect other people in the game world.
  7. CRAFTABLE HATS?!?! In my TDM? It's more likely than you think!
  8. http://www.georgianlondon.com/slum-living-londons-rookeries This might be a bit closer to the European aesthetic of Bridgeport. =3 The rookeries were hellish labrynths of crime and filth in pre 20th century London. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rookery_%28slum%29
  9. Yes, I too recommend The Outpost - I tried The Glenham Tower initially but it's a linear action level (a VERY good one) but not the best for grasping the basic mechanics.
  10. Hurray! A bountiful competition crop! Many thanks to all who entered!

    Hobbies

Man I bet it's really satisfying to have something like that that you've salvaged from the scrapheap, almost! Kind of like fixing up an old family car and getting it working again. My main hobby is my love of drawing - and my attempt to do some Warhammer 40k modelling - more as something relaxing than because I think the models will turn out looking good. x-D And doodles:
  12. Have you tried turning off Post-Processing specifically? That seems to create problems for ATI users - for myself and at least one other, it causes a strange "fish-eye" perspective effect when active.
  13. I especially like this pencil portrait and the main landscape! http://rajzaim.web4.hu/cikk/portreim http://rajzaim.web4.hu/cikk/tajkep
  14. Welcome - please come and share your ideas. =3
  15. Thanks, Springheel! I believe LemonyFresh had some similar art of an isometric view of a level he was trying to get made with someone. Kind of a pier / fishing village affair.
  16. Should I reinstall Quake 4 to check out the custom maps? I thought I'd never see a mod made for it as I didn't think it was popular so I uninstalled it as soon as I finished it.
  17. Wow - thanks for the link - it's very sad when things like that go missing but still, fires the imagination.
  18. Springheel drew quite a few images of what he thought the feel of a normal Bridgport scene would look like - those can be found scattered about and on his website - and of course in the main menu when it loads in TDM.
  19. Yes that's the idea I think - if months later you have a burning desire to give it a go and no one is working on it - I'm sure you can go and try again if you declare it.
  20. LOVE the idea of a semi underground village - In my insane pie-in-the-sky thinking I doodled out FM ideas that will never be made - the first one was for a small primitive lighthouse and fishing village built into the side of a cliff / caves. So, since your FM would be the closest thing to that I would play I'd love to see that . =-P
  21. I <3 you I would err far more along caste lines for naming them though - The Unclean or The Untouchable or somesuch. =-P Reminds me of the Nosferatu in VtM: Bloodlines.
  22. Thank you all! Lol, yes - they're far from perfect - I'm aware of my anatomy short comings - but hopefully I'll get better with time and study. x-D As for confident lines vs. loose recurring lines. Welp, frankly I'm a hell of a lot better than I was before - as far as I'm concerned if you don't suffer and do bad drawings now you'll never be doing good drawings in the future. =-P
  23. This Pat Corndell chap seems like a deeply uninformed bigot. I tried watching about half a dozen videos but found it made my grit my teeth. I've never heard of him before, is he famous on the other side of the Atlantic or something? I had to Google / Wiki him to get any idea of his background.
  24. Ah here's the thing. In the UK - you ONLY get that wonderful, amazing 3 year next day swap out guarantee... If you buy from Dell direct - or argue til you're blue on the phone like my Dad did on my behalf. My Ultrasharp has been wonderful - but until it was replaced it had a stuck PIXEL right in the MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN. Yeesh. My next monitor will be a 24" HP IPS one - £300 but has kickass customer service if you buy direct.
