DarkRadiant 1.3.2 released

DarkRadiant 1.3.2 is available as bugfix/maintenance release. No new features are included (except for the SplitPane camera position selector), download it from our website:

Important: if you haven't installed DarkRadiant before, be sure to install the VC++ 2008 Redistributable Package in order to run this release.

As usual, please report any bugs or feature requests here in these forums, following these guidelines:

  • Bugs (including steps for reproduction) can go directly on the tracker. When unsure about a bug/issue, feel free to ask.
  • Feature requests should be suggested (and possibly discussed) here in these forums before they may be added to the tracker.

As probably not everybody is reading the changelogs, here it is for reference:

 

New Features / Changes

 

  • "Convert to func_static" is a proper command now, accessible via the console and applicable to keyboard shortcuts.

Bugfixes

 

  • Fixed: Patch filtering problems with weather textures.
  • Fixed: If a patch shader is filtered, the patch itself can still be selected/affected.
  • Fixed: NURB spline data is broken.
  • Fixed: Orthoview types always set to ZY on startup (Splitpane layout).
  • Fixed: Decal transparency problems (present since version 0.10.0).
  • Fixed: Portal Sky texture rendering black in rendered view.

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
