only if you live in america, lot of italian, greek and jewish names there, maybe some spanish as well.

Good resource though. I'll bookmark that. I already have my own list whenever I hear a name or think of one 'mmm.. that might be good in an FM' I add it to my list so I have a list of male/female, lords etc. When I'm naming characters I hit a blank wall. I just look at my list and pick one and remove it from the list so I don't use it again.

 

I think Jewish names often sound good for our purposes (definitely not exclusively though) possibly because they date back to biblical times and we in the western world associate them with ancient times. So I used Ruth and Martha in Heart so I know they are not modern.

 

[EDIT] I should add that many of these old hebrew names are also widely used by Christians because of the jewish inheritance, so you get Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, etc.

I was just saying that first name's should match surnames, so if you have a spanish sounding first name then the surname should be more spanish sounding than english sounding.
