forums search not working...

when i do a search, it give me some results, I click on a result and exspect to get taken to the post it specifies - but no..... I get taken to the first post of the bloody thread it is in..ggrrr

Are you sure you're clicking the right place? You need to click on that small bended gray arrow, just below the thread titles on the left side of the post. Works perfectly for me...

Ok, the problems is Im not seeing those icons, Im using FF4 will see if they are there in IE9...

Strange... I always just click on the title of the search results and it takes me either to the exact post, or at least the page it is on. I never have clicked on the grey arrow.

update: I just did a search for 'clip' and I clicked on the title of the second result, Bikerdude: - questions, and it took me to page 32, directly to a response from Fidcal about 3/4 down the page. This is with google-chrome browser 11.0.696.65 in pclinuxos 2010.12... had similar results with previous releases of chrome/chromium and opera.

I need to click on the small grey arrow (4x4 pixels yeah) on the right side.

 

Here are the three links that I'd see if I click on:

 

* the small orange box left of the title: index.php?/topic/12706-dark-bomb/page__view__getnewpost

* the title itself: index.php?/topic/12706-dark-bomb/page__view__getnewpost__fromsearch__1

* the grey box on the right: index.php?/topic/12706-dark-bomb/page__view__getlastpost

 

As you see, they are all different...

 

Note: The forum looks the same with Opera 11.10 here
