I always play FPS games under the highest difficulty level.

The story didn't bother me too strongly, but what really gave me the rest was the accent of the NPC's. Except the fact that russians normally don't have such an accent (except in movies ;) ), it is odd that you who are playing a russian either should recognize it as something strange, when all persons around you are talking your mothertongue. It's like this odd german accent you sometimes find in english movies handling with WW2, where the germans speak german.

Well, then switch to the english version and hone your language skills. It's the same problem of course, but maybe the accent isn't as bad. At least it didn't bother me.

The problem is that they make those games bigger and bigger. This leads to more and more generic design. While you had quite some individualism in the areas in Morrowind for example, in Skyrim almost all dungeons and caves look the same, and you always did the same there.

That's true, and probably much of the size of the world was due to giving the players a "Wow is that epic and big!" feeling. I don't like it that big either. It just isn't motivating to explore for me then, especially when most of the world seems generic. But, make the world a little smaller, pack it full of side quest, and NPC's, make it versatile, and it'll be an "El Dorado" for adventurers. :)

I agree to that! At first the worlds of Skyrim or Fallout 3 look great, but after some hours you recognize the same set pieces over and over. That's why I loved RAGE in comparison, it had a beautiful hand-crafted levels look! Once I upgraded my machine so I didn't get the megatexture loading effect that made it so ugly on slower systems. Now if Bethesda would use that engine to do the next Elder Scrolls or Fallout game, that could look awesome!

Terribly difficult juggling map designing with work, but I'm still alive and chipping away at something very special. I'm actually making a collaboration of sorts with a friend, I make the map itself and he acts as my "Chief Scope Creep Consultant" that checks in every so often to make sure this project isn't getting out of hand. It's a good system!

The post editor for the dark themes should be working again. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Things have been so bad these days for me...
Just a year ago, I've been feeling dizzy, I thought it was nothing, today's stress, that type of thing, went to sleep...Still dizzy! 9 more days dizzy, went to doctor (I would have gone on the first day if NOT for the long appointment time)
Said it may be Neck Dizziness...I did exercises for 6 months, no changes.
Went to a Physical Therapist, went to another, no changes.
I've asked my doctor for a full check this time.
I hated yesteryear so much due to personal reasons, this year might be the same.
To be brutally honest, I'd rather have cancer or/and chronic pain than suffer dizziness any second longer, especially when nothing helps.
Hard to enjoy Thief when you're dizzy so I was hoping this year, Winter will be best for me.
