But what am I going to do with the MB I've been saving all these years with an AGP slot? AGP is going to make a comeback any day now, right?

LOL :D

The fps increase is incredible. I'm increased the quality to full of most of my games to max and still no lag whatsoever. :D

The GeForce 1060 is a beast @1920x0180.

Where do I start? What should I do first?

I'll be installing the SSD as a secondary drive?

Yes as long as the motherboard bios can see it, so will Windows and any of the above migration tools.

Once you have booted into windows, run the migration tool. I recommend Acronis(via the Crucial promo link above) as its the only one of the above 3 I have personally used. Then just follow thier instructions

1050 Ti https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_1050_Ti_Strix_OC/ up&running here :D

DO NOT push over 1920x1080 and it's a great medium card (for now).

I say so cause I set Mirror's Edge Catalyst to (1920x1080)x4 - there's a convenient slider in options menu to simulate SSAA 4x - and that resolution is a real FPS killer :P

ReShade's OpenGL wrapper is not as "universal" as the D3D9/10/11 one.

About the 1050 Ti / 1060 choice, this is the memory overclocked (2000 MHz QDR) 1050 Ti in MEC @1920x1080 with 1.50 scaling (!!!) / Ultra Preset / no PostProcessing AA (manually disabled in the config file):

36 FPS

Nice shiny and antialiased view, I'm happy :D

I finally know what using full AA feels like. :D

Yeah, it's a beautiful sensation, isn't? :D

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
