Yeah, that's what I said. Besides, I find this constant dissing of Unstoppable quite uncalled for. He (or she?) is posting stuff he is interested in, just like others do. So what? If you don't agree, nobody forces you to read it.

I don't see much point in posting the patch information, as this is not the Zombi Panic forum, but then again, I also don't see why this would be "cluttering the forum" either.

I think the "cluttering" was because the information was needlessly duplicated. A link to the changelog would have been enough.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, Unstoppable. It certainly wasn't my intent to stop you from posting about things you enjoy. I just thought posting the entire 2-page changelog was a bit ... unnecessary, especially considering that a link would have been just as informative without filling up multiple screens.

-Hey! Thanks for the advice. I tried Insurgency and it truly is really good!

Why bother to buy new games that need a monster machine, when there are FREE commercial quality mods for older games?

Mainly because they don't take the time to properly optimize their maps and models. I bet if you spent the time to go through it, and take out everything that didn't need to be rendered, like rooftops, the back of models that you can never see ect ect you could increase the speed 1.5x

-Well, I don't complain since it runs perfectly on my older machine, so no "speed-boost" of 1.5x is required. And what comes into commercial games... Well, they want to get their money quickly, causing expedited publishing of the game. Afterwards they may fix the problems if the community complains enough. Battlefield 2 is a very sad example: initially it had a game server browser from hell and nowadays (when no updates are no longer expected) it is only horrendously crappy.

jdude - come play Insurgency and tell me that you give a crap about all that. If your machine can run HL2:EP2 then it will be fine. The only issue at all for me is lag, but that is rare and a different issue entirely.

I had an awesome run yesterday, street battling in doorways and behind cars. The AK47 is a bad mofo.

I want your brain... to make his heart... beat faster.

I posted about it before, but I think the default tdm logo video looks outdated. For a (i.m.o.) better looking version, you can download the pk4 attached to this post and plonk it in your tdm root folder. Every mission that starts with the tdm logo then starts with the better looking one. Try for example mission COS1 Pearls and Swine.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.
