I got a little problem with TDM.

 

I just click the mod in Doom 3 Mod option and he send me that weird error

Only 256 Mbyte memory? Ouch, you really really want to buy some memory modules for your computer. 256 is barely enough to run windows, but not D3 and TDM, too!

 

You computer will be very slow swapping things out and in.

 

As for your error, sorry, I don't see what's exactly wrong. Do you have the latest patch for doom and for your graphic drivers? What hardware do you have?

Doom 3 "back of the box" system requirements lists 384MB RAM, and that's for just Doom 3 alone.

 

Good point, I add to the wiki you should have at least 512 to play TDM.

Did you follow our installation instructions and place the Devil.dll in your windows/system32 folder?

 

But I can play Doom 3 without having any troubles.

 

The Dark Mod adds a lot of systems to Doom 3 that it didn't have before. Our AI are far more robust, and there are many more calculations going on. Doom 3 is a pretty simple point and shoot game, but for a Thief styled game like TDM, you need to do much more to have AI who think, and light gem calculations. It doesn't come cheap. :)

 

But make sure you put that Devil.dll in the system 32 folder.

Sorry to bring this back to your attention guys but this error has just started to happen to me. I mean, I installed the mod fine the first time and it worked like a charm, however after uninstalling Doom 3 and then reinstalling it and then installing the mod it comes up with this error. :huh:

I've even reformatted the hard-drive, reinstalled everything and it still ain't working. Also put the dll file in system32. All patches are installed and my hardware can more than cope with running Doom 3.

 

Any ideas? :unsure: I am running Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
