Mission Loading Screen

Yeah, I'll put something together for the New Mission screen...I don't have a finalized design for that, so I'll have to play for a bit.

 

As for the objectives, I don't know if you were following what greebo and I were doing with the Thiefs Den version, but we planned to basically take the in-game version of the Objectives screen and shift it off-center, making room for the difficulty options. No special graphics are needed other than the title and difficulty buttons. I'll whip those up this week.

Here's my Load Mission concept:

It's based on a similar template to the load/save game menu. When a mission is selected, the descriptive text comes up on the left with the option to install that mission. The currently installed mission is displayed at the bottom. Scrolling arrows allow the user to scroll through lists of available missions.

 

Is this all the functionality that we need?

Ok Joe, I've uploaded the basic parchment image of the New Mission menu, and will continue to add the necessary buttons (you can always just use text as a placeholder in the meantime). I've also added all the necessary shaders for the purchase menu, in purchase_menu.mtr. The images aren't all set properly yet, but you can use that for naming purposes.

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
