Digi's Thief CoSaS models pack

I can't say whether these will be in a useable state. Thief items are so blocky most of the time, so they really need to be higher poly than those T1/T2 in-game objects. Similar holds for the textures - a 256x256 diffusemap alone is not enough to make it look good in TDM.

But still, we can at least ask about them to see which source files these objects are based on.

None of those models are very difficult to make. It's just finding good textures that takes time.

Yeah, Cosas had a great repository of textures. But none are above 256.

Most of the stuff I made for them was mission specific (like the fuse box set-up for MX) so not really of much use for Dark Mod.

I did alot of furniture, curious to see if it was even used, I have a feeling that after all the hard work I did on that stuff was scrapped anyway.

Most of it was just T2 furniture that someone retexted. Then I went and remodelled all of it to have as many opening drawers as possible (a very testy time consuming process) with the new tex.

I did however already improve/port the oil lantern over.

Dark is the sway that mows like a harvest

Well Digi says he is releasing all the unused stuff as well so someone will use it.

Has anyone had any luck with textures from Polyhaven? Their OpenEXR normal maps seem too washed out and give incorrect shading in the engine.

I tried to upscale the TDM logo video. First try:

briefing_video.mp4 You can test it ingame by making a copy of the core tdm_gui.mtr and place it in your-tdm-root/materials/ , then edit line 249 of that file into the location where you placed the new briefing.mp4 file.
What I did was I extracted all the image files, then used Upscayl to upscale the images using General photo (Real-Esrgan) upscale setting and then turn it back into a video.
I might have to crop it a bit, the logo looks smaller on screen (or maybe it's actually better this way?). My video editor turned it into a 16:9 video, which I think overal looks better than 1:1 video of original.

Trying to be productive on my down-time before Capcom releases Akuma and my son is constantly on my PC playing Street Fighter...

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.
