  1. Not sure if there are any Minecraft players on this forum, but I thought I'd share my Thief-inspired map anyway. While it does not take place directly in the Thief universe, I've included some nods to the series, like Heartless Perry's pawn shop, Trickster's forest, a Keeper compound, Thieves guild, Hammerites, Mechanists, City watch and Garrett's place. There is a questline at the museum which is about retrieving seven legendary items for its collection. One quest has you finding the Keeper compound and another one requires you to do some jobs for the Thieves guild. There's also a mission which takes you into long forgotten Hammerite crypts. Download: https://www.oakhold.com/downloads/oakhold-2.1.zip It currently works in Minecraft version 1.14.4 only. I recommend pureBDCraft resource pack and Optifine to help with FPS and dynamic lighting. https://optifine.net/ https://bdcraft.net/downloads/purebdcraft-minecraft/

  2. Jack: Give me a simple test map with the AI, the path corners, the switches, the doors and their visportal, all monsterclip in the area, and I'll try to see what's going on. When a mission is loaded, if a door has a switch targeting it, the door makes a list with all switches in it. When the AI approaches the door, and he's told by pathfinding that it's closed, the presence of a switch list should send him to the closest switch to open the door. Once he's through the open door, he'll go to the other switch and close the door behind him.

  3. Here in Germany, you get up to 12 months of paid parental leave, where you receive 67% of your usual income. You can get 2 more years of unpaid parental leave, if you want. I registered for 7 months in total, to support my gf in finishing her studies.

  4. I kind of miss our old status-bar on the right, where you could casually share what's on your mind or what is happening in your life right now. So, I figured, let's just start a thread for that. Let's get this started...

  6. IMO learning Doom Script is a excellent way to learn programing, is easy compared to C/C++ and being based on a C like syntax makes it a excellent introduction to those languages.

  8. I just completed Vitalic Fever, which was more complicated than the first. I made a quick walkthrough to remind me how to play it again in the future. I have really enjoyed the Hidden Hands series. https://darkmodfanwalks.weebly.com/hidden-hands-vitalic-fever.html

  9. Working on several missions that will rely on 2.08. Yay! Getting treatment for my cancer that has decided to attack after 11 years of remission. Boo! Enjoying my 2-month-old grandson. Yay!

  10. Ok, when I include the dmapped files of the "moonlight" version, it now fails. (???????) Anyway, do the following: 1. Download "Braeden Church" using the in-game downloader, then install it. 2. Go to fms/braeden_church and unzip this file there. You should now have fms/braeden_church/maps/*. 3. Start the mission. The failure is that the only part of the map that gets painted with moonlight is the "section" (visportal-bound) containing the moonlight light entity. (The light is named "Moonlight" if you open the map in DR.) ======================================================= Stretch task: You can try the "it works when you don't include the dmapped files" issue (??????) by deleting everything in fms/braeden_church/maps except the *.map file. You can try this and see if the light suddenly starts working.

  11. Arx Fatalis is actually a bit steampunk-y. As is Dishonored. I really enjoyed those. Skyrim also has some steampunk elements, I would say (the dwarves' constructions).

  12. The update to "Away 1 - Air Pocket" is now available as Beta 2/Release Candidate 1. Now with fewer bugs, more stealth playtime. Links are here.

  13. Enjoyable mission (especially considering the modest file size), I didn't see the lever bug, but, I'm not sure if this helps; I did see a bug with most of the safes where opening it first time makes the contents unfrobbable, but closing it and opening it again makes them frobbable. (every alternate time opening/closing results in unfrobabble contents). I also ran into the glitch where the completed objective is removed Apart from that, very nice, although perhaps readables could have been reduced just a tiny bit (maybe 20%) in the Watch area.
