Hm.. I always thought that people, in general, get less credit/praise than they deserve.

No one can do a complex task 100% correct. 95-99% is usually maximum. The other people then prefer to complain about the failed 5-1% rather than praise the successful 95-99%.

It is just sad.

Life would be more fun if people praised each other more.

I think it may be an exaggeration to say that blind eye is given to the problem.

2h is really, really short time for a functional mission, and I think the aim of a contest should be to produce functional missions to people to play, rather than just quickly mash something together that barely works.

Now that I think about it, perhaps "speed builds" do not have a specific amount of time attached to it, but rather they are builds that the author builds faster than their usual building speed. But with this definition more mapping experience results in speed builds, because the mapper works faster. Poor definition!

Thus, perhaps a "speed build" is more like a "mini project," a mapping project with deliberately limited size and scope.
