  1. If you value your health, I'd suggest wine such as Carbernet or Cahor if you like. Adds hemoglobin to your blood if you drink in moderation. Witcher, Pathologic, Bloodlines, LA Noire and Thief. Each with a distinct flavor and probably at least one has something for everyone even if they're not wine savvy.
  2. Aye. But even the motion picture industry has its Godfather and in opposition some black sheep, trash film like Scary Movie of Movie 43. Literature? There's Hamlets, Dostoievski and John Green's nice prose. But there's also 50 Shades of Gray that in its mediocrity seems like some poor reversed parody of American Psycho with a female protagonist and added in BDSM just because. But nobody cares actually since the reader target audience is going to be the same that thinks of Paulo Coelho as the next Kobo Abe. They won't give a crap about the quality of the prose but rather suck every pretentious, meaningless description that's supposed to have deep meaning and then use that in their daily lives as the creatures without fantasy or taste that they are.
  3. I always preferred the style of TDS and T1 but the briefing and screenshots are promising. The graphical approach of using silhouettes is a great idea. Goldwell did the acting fantastic as always.
  4. Yes, Pathologic relies on this plague, infection and antidote thing. The catch is that in Pathologic, once sick, it's pretty much only by the endgame the player gets a panacea, but in between there's basically only pills, fruits, to keep his immunity system higher and to prevent health from agressively going down. It's a sort of a micromanagement/strategical thing there coupled with survival. Anything like that in TDM would need additional assets and scripts to permanently have a health penalty over a set period of time. I. e. Health can be recovered by your potion/pill but that still means health will go down gradually. Keeps up a certain tension I guess and forces more planning for the player. Perhaps it can even be conceived in a larger mission where he won't physically manage to do all objectives in time, which will force him to choose which ones to accomplish and in what order. This may potentially be a thing for more endings.
  5. Time and time again there will be people who prove that good journalism doesn't always stem from an undergraduate degree in sociology or anything. Real journalism is a mad dog that barks at anyone and digs until it gets to the truth.
  6. Technically he might not even tweet himself. It might just be people from his staff and he just approves the message typed at his voice command.
  7. +1 but they might just counter-attack for turning down their "professional ethics" and attempting to bring false accusation.
  8. This is hardly corruption when put in perspective Goebbels level of propaganda in North Korea or Russia. It is just a bias and a ridiculous situation that they've put themselves in. What is bad are systematic acts of the press associating itself with narrow circles of power for favors, profit, reciprocal and mutual agreements on promoting personal agendas. But not necessarily one that involves killing someone or whatnot. It's just not nice.
  9. On the same note, more glorious and clever use of synthesizers in 1970's style. The dude is very hardworking and dedicated. His work on Depths of Fear :: Knossos impressed me. Even if it was objectively a mediocre dungeon crawler with roguelike elements, he made like 10 updates. 1 man army. https://dirigogames.bandcamp.com/album/depths-of-fear-chinkana-soundtrack

You mean to borrow them from Arx? They do have good assets both in models, NPC's and sound design wise. Just like the original 2001 game apparently. Pretty impressive. Odd that there's no update from 2016 though. Seems to be stuck in beta thus far.

Btw to anyone whom it might be of interest, if anyone still remembers the 2001 game called Black & White, there's a dude who put up a fully functional client, packed with the game itself, working for online play without the workaround of hamachi/tunngle: http://bwgame.wildman-productions.org/index.php?action=showpage&pagename=home By now, having seen Lionhead Studios closed, Black & White is by all means technically abandonware. And I have never seen an alternative so despised in reviews: http://store.steampowered.com/app/232810/Godus/
  12. In any way related to Briarwood Cathedral by buck28 if I may ask? http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/16644-briarwood-cathedral/?do=findComment&comment=357089
  13. What other corporation might follow suit?
  14. That, and it would also be a sufficiently good idea to see what could be done with the stock wood door close/open sound. To me the Thief sounds again were much better. Especially in Thief DS. They had that small screeching. Not too much and just enough to be atmospheric. The door has to feel as a more massive thing and not just some generic household accessory. It doesn't have currently the oomph for being part a good sound system in TDM as a whole, adds to the weakness.
  15. Some tracks remind of Shuttered Island and the recurring theme of it:
  16. Actually the AI noticing you is not an FM defect or bug or overlook. It depends on your difficulty settings and your custom settings vis-à-vis AI deafness and AI blindness. Sorry if this reply reads too didactic or arrogant.
  17. The absolute extreme is probably our city. I don't know if there's more powerful extremes as ours is. History must be preserved. https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/oct/24/insiders-guide-chisinau-moldova-communist-brutalism

GOG lets to own games on GOG that you already own on Steam. Not exactly free games but at least saves you buying the same stuff on the 2 services which is logical and common sense. https://www.gog.com/connect?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=20170606_summer_sale&utm_term=EN&utm_content=logos
  19. Apologies. All I meant was, to do things for self perfection. To be better today than you were yesterday. And maybe become a better person tomorrow.
  20. Yes, I was afraid you'd lose track because you were the only one I contacted in PM after Tels. I messaged you and sent you this a while back: http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/18828-romanian-gui-issue-request-for-bugtracker/
  21. And their games aren't available in CIS countries.
  22. It gets at you after a while if you played The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall.
  23. When that happens I waltz myself Quake style through the map.
  24. It's a combination of things usually. Every person needs an individual start, push and effort. A break of covenant biblically speaking. Overcoming your condition and going forward. Otherwise it's not good. And not worth living.
