Even though I've been absent a long while, I still find myself dreamily wishing for the free time to do TDM mission development. When working on new research projects I'll find myself involuntarily thinking, "hee hee this could be a fun texture or readable or bit of map architecture." Or I find myself absentmindedly responding out loud to odd noises with a drunkguard-like "must've been rats!"

If you had the time, what would you like to work on?

An amazing little mission, we can all hope

"Little mission" is exactly the right advice. I have the same issue in writing: I need to learn how to condense, condense, condense.
Another example: Whenever I research ecclesiastical history, I've got a nagging voice in the back of my head, asking, "Could there possibly be a parallel event in the Builder's Church?"

12 hour work days with capability to do drunk vocals?
Â
Work truly is the scourge of the drinking classes!
Â
What do you do for a living anyhow?

Welcome back fella.

Hello again!

As a real-life night janitor, I get a real sense of satisfaction out of acting out a TDM guard. Once, I found a dead crayfish that escaped from the Biology laboratory, so I shouted: "Murder! There's a prowler on the loose! Come out into the open, you taffer!"

I tell my student that things "should be done right the first time."
-
I found a big bag of Reese's Pieces submerged in a men's room toilet. "Looks like a code eight! Err...must have been rats. Oh well! Back to work!"
-
A dead crayfish... Maybe it was Colonel Mustard in the Lab with tha Bunsen burner?
-
Smiley face: On my way to a master's degree. That is to say, I barely have 30 minutes to myself (or TDM or other hobbies) most days. Sad face.

The power supply on my monitor started arcing, and now my graphics card puts pretty red sparkles all over everything.

That's bad for you guys, isn't it?

@Biker, FSP is one of the companies that makes good power supplies. (Its all they do) If you mean, buy a PC Power & Cooling... um, no. Occasionally even the good ones have flaky issues that get by QC

I'm in the US and all my stuff is on APC UPS, even the cable modem and internet lines.

I applied for a Jr. Sound Designer position at a AAA game studio. I didn't get the job, but part of my portfolio was a short video on my failed "unusual gameplay competition" map. Thought y'all would like it.

Well to quote myself "Oh very clever" ROTFL. But very cool little map, we should use that in a mission!
-
I'd say, release the map but now we all know how to solve the puzzle. @_@
-
That's a great video.

I found this delightful 3-year-old video on my HD. This is what happens when you give AI the capability to kick crates out of the way.

heheh back in the day..
-
I'm sure I've already seen this video?
-
@jaxa You probably saw it in a bug report many years ago. I was thoroughly confused and amused at the same time.

While reading the CM code in the doom 3 engine, I came across this comment during collision model rotation: "MrE gives Pluecker a banana.. good monkey"

Map geometry complete! Needs one last scripted event, gameplay polish, and visual polish. This thing may actually be done by Oct 31!
