  1. Yup, it is enabled by default and will be enabled if you're doing a fresh install. Too bad it can't be forced to overwrite the setting, just in case it's off.
  2. Maybe there were changes made to the ambient lighting, or as spring mentioned difficulty levels affect the sight on expert difficulty. You can also set AI hearing and vision to a more classic thief like level in the main menu. The coding changes for the lightgem were simply to improve the speed of the processing. Didn't have anything to do with sensitivity or accuracy that I'm aware of.
  3. Restoration is underway. Might just take a little time.
  4. I don't know what's going on, but I sure as hell would like to know.
  5. Greenlight isn't going away until the spring, and since our submission came days before the announcement we should still fall under Greenlight. After that, anything approved for greenlight should be transferred to the new system Having said all that, we don't know for certain. Hehe
  6. It is probably worth mentioning, if it hasn't been already, that we were involved in the Thief 2014 modding contest as an official partner. Don't want it to sound too braggy, bit that was a pretty big deal to be included.
  7. Hiccups aside, I think this is a positive first step. Thanks for giving it a push to get the ball rolling.
  8. Fantastic work Greebo. Thanks so much for keeping Dark Radiant alive and well.
  9. It's a reliable distribution channel. I wouldn't worry about it beyond that.
  10. Good lord I hope not haha, I certainly wouldn't add it. Nice trip down memory lane though. Pacing and music was nice for the time.
  11. Ahh yes, the teaser Tyrot and Sparhawk came up with. That was cool!
  12. @biker I did some tests with jpeg way back in the early days. The jpegs created graphic issues...I recall banding, and maybe some bad noise on the textures. The game just didn't like them.
  13. I think there were too many other things to miss. lol
  14. Sounds good NightStalker. You folks take your time and make sure everything is well sorted.
  15. Not to clutter up the discussion, but a very informative read. Thanks for the detail. I'm not a coder, but I do love reading and understanding what is going on behind the scenes.
  16. Oh, it's done already? lol I was just looking into it. Thanks mister.
  17. Lots of people look at the amount of snow outside their window and say, "pfff, climate change. Look at that stuff. We've never had snow like that". What they don't understand is the wreckage going on above us in the arctic with the warm air pushing the arctic jet stream lower and lower. We just had a drastic storm here in Atlantic Canada. The last decade has seen some pretty drastic changes, the likes of which even the old timers have never seen. We had tons of snow as a kid, but it's the forces behind it that are changing. Most of our Island was without power for a full week after the storm. There wasn't even a large amount of snow, but the severity of the winds snapped over 100 electric poles from one end of the Island to the other. We're currently at a stage where the weather patterns are wobbling like a spinning top. In my opinion sitting on our hands and waiting to see what happens is reckless. All we have to do is look to the planet venus to see what happens when a planet reaches the point of no return in a green house effect. It will be our descendants that suffer if we don't start working now. The technology exists to do it. It's just a matter of pushing the greedy oil bastards holding up progress out of the way.
  18. My friend Bob did a set, but I don't think it got finished. I also think my set never got finished. Was years ago now, my recording station went on the fritz, we moved several times and then...life. If our basement wasn't torn apart for Reno's I would offer to do a whole new set but I know that would be way too much for me to take on right now.
