  1. Ok guys, thanks for replies :-D As suggested, I installed also libxxf86vm1 (32 bit version), that was requested. So the 32 bit libraries are there... But now I cannot run because: [...] execing Darkmod.cfg Couldn't exec autoexec.cfg - file does not exist. I18N: SetLanguage: 'english'. I18N: Found no character remapping for english. I18N: 1229 strings read from strings/english.lang I18N: 'strings/fm/english.lang' not found. ----- Initializing Sound System ------ sound system initialized. -------------------------------------- ----- R_InitOpenGL ----- Setup X display connection dlopen(libGL.so.1) dlopen(libGL.so.1) idRenderSystem::Shutdown() signal caught: Segmentation fault si_code 1 Was in fatal error shutdown: Unable to initialize OpenGL Trying to exit gracefully.. About to exit with code 0 So now the problem is the opengl drivers of my card :-( (with the previous Ubuntu I was running TDM without any problem with the same HW) I'll try installing some other drivers (I use an AMD CPU/APU 7700k)
  2. Hello guys :-D I've installed Kubuntu the latest 18.04, and KDE rocks (far far far better then Gnome, IMHO, Plasma evolved incredibly). The problem is: I cannot run my lovely TDM :-( If I launch it from shell ("./thedarkmod.x86") as I was doing in the past versions of Ubuntu, I receive this message: error while loading shared libraries: libXext.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I tried with "apt search" to find out about this library and: libxext-dev/bionic 2:1.3.3-1 amd64 X11 miscellaneous extensions library (development headers) libxext-doc/bionic,bionic 2:1.3.3-1 all X11 miscellaneous extensions library (documentation) libxext6/bionic,now 2:1.3.3-1 amd64 [installato] X11 miscellaneous extension library libxext6-dbg/bionic 2:1.3.3-1 amd64 X11 miscellaneous extensions library (debug package) libxmu-dev/bionic 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 X11 miscellaneous utility library (development headers) libxmu6/bionic,now 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 [installato] X11 miscellaneous utility library libxmu6-dbg/bionic 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 X11 miscellaneous utility library (debug package) libxmuu-dev/bionic 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 X11 miscellaneous micro-utility library (development headers) libxmuu1/bionic,now 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 [installato] X11 miscellaneous micro-utility library libxmuu1-dbg/bionic 2:1.1.2-2 amd64 X11 miscellaneous micro-utility library (debug package) So the "libxext6" is installed. Any suggestions to solve this?
  3. Mission finished yesterday  What to say: I have no words. Kingsal, You really are an ARTIST! This mission has the best Thief classic touch on TDM, I liked a lot exploring the world and the atmosphere created. Outstanding vision on gameplay and "architecture", but this beauty was all already present in the first "Volta" mission. You really are an inspired and gifted guy :-D Thanks!
  4. Super nice and lovely mission, thanks! And I REALLY appreciated your video with your comments and toughts about mapping (and that's not so difficult and super time consuming). Really useful and inspiring stuff. I hope you'll do more video like this! Thanks!
  5. The size it's really massive, and I like snowie FM, congrats!
  6. Dragofer: you are an Artist! :-) I really enjoyed your work here, it's incredible. The best campaign so far, top of the top, for me. I only do not liked the end, but really you made a narrative WORLD, not only a simple FM. My congratulation and really really thank you for this creative jam :-) I hope you'll do more FM in the future.
  7. PD3 + 2.04, is insane! :-)

    1. Bikerdude

      Your welcome :-D

  8. I'm sad for UK, but *very* happy for Scotland! :-)

  9. I totally agree, same names, but I also would add: Kingsal for Design (but not exquo with Melan only because Kinsdal made only one mission so far)
  10. Finished yesterday, but I want to replay. Your mission it's simply awesome and has an *insane* quality, a real masterpiece, IMHO. I don't know how you did it (more, if this is your first mission), but the graphics, every texture that you placed, are simply artistic, with some sense of beauty that normally I don't feel in other missions. And I like a lot the puzzles, the architecture, how you placed guards, very realistic, incredible gameplay. My congratulation, this is my favourite mission fo the year, you made my day! :-) Veramente BRAVO complimenti!!!
  11. Finished yesterday: I really liked your FM! IMHO it's one of the best "elevator" mission style that I ever played. Thank you Goldwell! :-)
  12. I agree for the performance with the OS drivers with AMD cards (there was a huge improvements), but I switched to Catalyst (Crimson) drivers only because it's the only way to play TDM with other resolution than native FullHD (1920x1080). Now with the latest Crimson I can play 1280x720 with the right performance, with the OS drivers this resolution it's not supported (or I cannot use it with my APU, an AMD A10 and a R7 class GPU).
  13. It was my package corrupted; I re-downloaded the PK4 and now it works perfectly! :-) Finished the first mission, and I have just one word: awesome! EDIT: just finished this INCREDIBLE mission. I have no words to explain this masterpiece. It is simply the *best* of the best mission for TDM till now (IMHO). Really thank you Gelo, and all the crew that made this "opera" possibile :-)
  14. It's on the first mission. I've seen this problem when I teleport on the "special/spiritural dimension". Maybe as you say it's a faulty download (I hope!), because I have this random crash only with this mission. I'll retry to download the whole pk4 pack again! :-) BTW: as for what I've seen till now... this mission it's a masterpiece!
  15. I'm stuck with this mission (and only with this mission), the game exit after some minutes, but it's random, with this log (i'm with Linux): Any suggestion?
  16. This mission was truly scary! Thank you Sotha for such a brillant mission and gameplay!
  17. I really ejoyed your mission, Melan :-) I like your visual style and how you create roof path :-D Thank you so much!
  18. This little mission it's so beautiful. Creepy and ultra tense atmosphere, with very simple tasks to do. I really enjoyed! Thank you Grayman!
  19. RIP Ian Murdock :-(

  20. The headers (quality graphic and artistic) are better in time progression, like the mod :-)
  21. Happy new year to all :-)

  22. HSA + Mantle = the future of computing :-)

Xeon Phi = the future of supercomputing

D-Wave = the future of quantum computing

still want to see what HSA can do for Blender Cycles. Sure, it will not keep up with NVidia's finest, but at least you will be able to get better performance than a CPU and still use loads of memory without getting a mega-expensive graphics card just to have enough memory.
