  1. I'll post here too since it shows some features & hints such as body shouldering, door listening & locking, silent landing etc.
  2. Actually I experienced it couple of times on revenants in different missions. If you keep hitting for a long time, AI will stuck in that animation forever.
  3. I just played it again on easy which it's supposed to be easy but it was not at all. Some guards are just sharper than normal. Complexity (connection and design of rooms) of castle is amazing which makes it realistic. It's the best part of the mission imho. Another good part is difficult loot placement and lighting. They kept me stressful many times. Bad parts are; same ambient music became boring after a while. You should mute and change it time to time. Texturing was bad in some corridors but that's not big deal. I couldn't frob a yellow key in the drawer not sure if it was crucial. I haven't found all loots actually I was recording a walkthrought it in just my second attempt! but some sharp hear b*tch AI screwed it. Maybe I'll try again later. Thanks for the big effort. I enjoyed mostly.
  4. After watching the newbie darkmod player videos in the releated topic, I give it a go and there are some annoying ones (in current v1.08). Maybe many of them already mentioned before, I don't know. Since newcomers start with training mission, it should be polished as mush as possible imho.   5. I enjoyed while watching. He's talking in a good way compared to some of talktive commenters who make my ears blood. Since he's newbie it's another reason to watch. I recorded a video of the mission "how it's supposed to be", incluing door locking & listening and body shouldering with different route. Feel free to link this video to him. He needs this most.

  10. very strange indeed. I have no idea but want to know the reason badly. Does it appears w/o skybox, ambient light etc?
  11. Come to think of it, one of the benefits of building geometry heavly with patches, you don't have worry about caulk. In my early mapping times, I was depending on it a lot, but now hell no. There are more efficient ways to improve performance.
  12. I wasn't serious on that. I mean what kind of citywatch wears these stuff. come to think of it, do you have a plan on making male version of these for enabling masquerade?

  15. write your full path of doom3.exe for doom. I have recorded and uploaded a short vid. Vimeo takes some time while converting. It will be ready in 20 mins. EDIT: Vid uploaded.
  16. in the example, map is under a folder named same with map. Double check your path.
  17. april 14 is deadline. Silent means participants don't care the contest at all, or they like to be in stealth mode while progessing.
  18. If there wasn't that ship, it'll look like shit as well. Strong light kills normals. If there isn't detailed models in a scene don't expect a miracle.
