  1. Hopefully this is is the entree to a decent main course down the road. Great work!
  2. Great little gem of a mission. Hopefully this is the entree to some tasty mains down the track!
  3. Other than the fact that I wasn't aware of its existence before posting, absolutely not. Wasn't aware I was committing a capital offence! Sometimes I just feel the need to do things spontaneously.
  4. Hi all, So it's finally been released about 7 years after I've backed it.... My impression is that the textures and graphics even tweaked up to the max look terrible. It's very small compared to the average game at under 4gbs which seems to have been made by sacrificing texture/graphic quality. I really can't bring myself to play it due to this. Am I being too judgemental or am I within my rights?
  5. Alas, I've had another look but no joy. Looks like this may be a bug with having settings set to the max.
  6. Had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed! Looking forward to the next instalment of Hare in the Snare btw!
  7. Oh man, I screwed this one up bad...Just found what should have been number 1. https://www.thiefguild.com/fanmissions/?advanced_search=&series=&collection=&table=&page=&works=&work_lists=&sort_by=best&search=&games=1&games=2&released_from=all&released_to=all&genre=all I'm sticking to the Thief 1 and 2 missions as they're compatible with the HD pack. Don't really like the deadly shadows engine. Well, my agony is at an end!
  8. Glad someone brought it up. Excellent game back in the day. I tried to get into the VTM Final Nights mod but the engine had not aged well!
  9. Good point. For the people who have released missions, do you find you still enjoy playing missions as much after you've release one of your own? I kinda imagined that it would sort of be like working in a whiskey distillery. Once you're surrounded by the stuff, do you still look forward to a shot or a couple of fingers at the end of the week?
  10. Might not be the right forum but, As a recovering TDM addict, I thought it'd be useful to call attention to some games that have helped me get past my withdrawal symptoms, at least until the next release! 1.) STALKER Anomaly, Wind of Time, Spatial Anomaly...etc 2.) Enderal 3.) Aliens Colonial Marines TemplarGFX - still too short! 4.) Prey 5.) Ruiner - arcadey, but works 6.) Thief 2 - Shadows of the metal age 7.) Deus Ex - GMDX, Nihilum, etc
  11. Managed to sort it out by replacing my TDM installer. Fastest resolution of a TDM issue ever...lol...
  12. Hi folks, Had this issue after updating to the latest. Do I need to start fresh? Cheers, Gokudo
  13. Finally clocked this. Great mission, but man I had to grind for that loot. Also, that's gotta be the biggest key collection for a mission in TDM. Question is, was there a key to the building to the right of the blacksmith, also was there an entrance somewhere for where that African/Moorish guy is? Looking forward to more missions of this caliber!
  14. Nice FM. Very compact and very dense at the same time. General TDM tip - always read letters thoroughly!
  15. Nice little mission. Love the the electronic/industrial beat in the vault. Reminds me of the casino inside the Thieves guild in Thief 1.
  16. Lol...guessing he didn't recently drop 62k at an Indian restaurant...
  17. Had a bit of Thief meets Time Crisis vibe to it earlier which was interesting. Loved the new accents the most. Nice change from the usual old voices they keep rehashing.
  18. Good little mission. Had to grind for the loot but I got there! Looking forward to future instalments.
  19. I'm STILL playing this mission and finding stuff. Unreal. This mission needs it's own wiki to explain what the deal is with the White Pyramids, Sanguine Dreamer, etc. I'm dying for a sequel though it's seems highly unlikely given the nature of the mission.
  20. Wow! Calling this a "large" mission is the understatement of the year. There's so many layers that I'm surprised that my head hasn't exploded yet. This makes Painter's Wife almost feel like a speedbuild! Love the constant references to Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. I'm done with the main bit but I feel the need to keep exploring, which is really rare with a lot of the TDM FM's that I've played. Long story short, this has crept right up to my fav missions of all time list. Please keep coming up with more FM's man!
  21. Fun mission. Loved the stained glass windows. Had to grind a bit to get my loot but that just made it more satisfying at the end.
  22. Wow. An exciting peek into the future of TDM. Was Joy the female voice from T2SOTM? Loved that too. Soundtrack was surprisingly upbeat for cryo chamber, they do some dark stuff!
