Rule number 1: If it doesn't work and you do not understand why, uninstall it completely and install it again. You would be surprised how often this solves problems.

Great vid as always Gggman. btw if you ever decide to go back to this, you can Google "dsounds.dll" or "doom 3 surround sound" that somewhat fixes the surround sound in the game (Doom 3 originally supported it back in the day but seems to be missing in The Dark Mod). Having said that you're right, it's disappointing that surround sound is sorely missing from many games these days, only one I know that did it well was Alien: Isolation.

I got PCI-e pass-through to work in a VM. This means gaming in a VM at native speed. It means I can run Linux and Windows on the machine together and they each get a dedicated video card.

What would you do about a piece of human trash that floors the gas and burns rubber at 2 AM on occasion, waking you up in the middle of the night?

On Sunday morning, I dreamt a TDM dream. Yes, really. I was inside some city level with nice moody lighting. There were winding streets and regularly shaped courtyards paved with nothing but oversized square stone tiles. One courtyard had something like a chessboard-style arrangement of paving tiles with Roman numerals, and a mechanical contraption to go with it. This was apparently some kind of puzzle, but my dream-self couldn't figure out the specifics.

Whenever a bird poops on my car I eat a plate of scrambled eggs on my front porch just to let them know what I'm capable of.
