shop_skip 1 bug

There's a bug with shop_skip 1. When the game starts if you return to the menus you can change the difficulty again. When you are about to launch your FM check first to see if this is fixed. Otherwise set it to 0 and have a blank shop (or actually make a shop ;))

Hmm, I have a slightly different bug in that it wont shope wont skip.... Ive followed the wiki, created a brush in the world and then appled the arg skip_shop, value 1

 

I still get the buy equiment text on the objectives screen, whats it supposed to have there, when the shop is skipped "start mission"..?

Yes that's basically it. It does skip the shop correctly but in game it was discovered later, when you return to the menus the objectives screen still shows the difficulty selector. I think this affects all FMs released without a shop. We never noticed it before because I think all the FMs with Release 1 had a shop.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD
