first computer you had?

As promised, here's to show that mine is bigger: I actually had Informatics classes on these things. They were horrible. They had tape drives (audio cassettes), and if you lok closely you'll notice that the key buttons were made of hard plastic that didn't really give in when pressed. So to type, you had to press these keys with all force you could muster. Needless to say that they weren't very popular. So yes, from that point on it went uphill very very fast.  ;)

My Eigenvalue is bigger than your Eigenvalue.

The computer, that is, not the game. By the way, Robotron was one of the reasons why AMD chose to establish its chip factory in Dresden. Hooray for Robotron!  ;)

Oh, I remember Frogger, I had it on my C64, even Frogger2 IIRC. That was one of those major game, wasn´t it? I had a friend with an Atari, don´t know what type. But besides Pacman he had too a RoboCop-game IIRC, though it never worked. You see, I talk more about the games because I ain´t knowing anything about the systems*, so I disqualified myself from this thread... ^_^

*I always wanted to write a sentence with "ain´t", but I can´t get the grammar right, at least my translator can´t translate it the way I want. <_<

[it ain't possible if you ain't English - at least they say it ain't and they ain't been wrong yet or maybe you ain't trying hard enough.

There was a young man in a faint,

Who found he couldn't use "ain't".

Though he tried every day

He ain't tried every way,

So they ain't yet made him a saint.

He, nice Fidcal. Although it gave me a better understanding it ain´t sound right to my ears. (first I wanted to write well-educated ears, but that would´ve been a lie, and I ain´t a liar  ) I looked it up in dictionary.com, wouldn´t have thought to find common words like these in there...

"it ain't sound right" don't sound right to me. :)

It's funny you trying to actually use slang abbreviations.

A professor of English quite quaint

Oft told all his pupils they mayn't

Infinitives split,

Or else he would quit

And never, don't never, use "ain't!"

"It ain´t sounding right"? I thought one could substitute 'doesn´t' with 'ain´t'.

Well, I heard that 'ain´t' so often in the english TV-shows I watch that I wanted at least to try to adopt it, though, I better stick to formal British English, at least most of the time... :)

I thought "aint" is a substitute for "isnt" ?

I referred to dictionary.com, but well, the nonstandard I should have given more attention:

Nonstandard . have not; has not; do not; does not; did not.

Ok, I´ll stick to this, so you´re (of course) right:

contraction of am not, is not, are not, have not, or has not: I ain't seen it

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
