Holding the shift key while multi selecting items, DR will then select a bunch of items behind the ones your trying to select. In DR1.5x86 it happened occasionally, but in 1.6.1 its more than occasional to the point where its becoming a headache.

I have found another mouse selection related issue with 1.6.0 versus 1.5.0 and this is the right click move around, release, right-click move etc in Ortho view. In 1.5.0 it works fine, right-click-hold and move around in Ortho as quickly or as slowly as you like. but under 1.6.0 50% of the time the right click menu keeps popping up - very very annoying.

As I've already added to the notes section to the reports - nothing has changed in between 1.5.0 and 1.6.0 with regards to mouse handling/movement/whatever (the underlying GTK+/gtkmm libraries haven't changed neither), so I'd like to get more feedback on that whether this affects anybody else? I need some confirmation that the issues at hand are indeed due to a technical "misbehaviour" in DR, and not due to user-specific factors like drivers or the way the mouse is used.

It could be that you have dragged the mouse (even a little bit) while holding the button down.

Re the ortho multi-select that's correct, but for what ever reason this has been progressively more pronounced since DR 1.4.0, while my OS, keyboard & mouse haven't changed.

What I can offer is to make the so-called "device epsilon" configurable through XML files. Right now the value is 8 divided by the window dimensions, e.g. 8/400 if the window is 400 pixels wide. The factor 8 is hardcoded at the moment, that could be increased on the user's own "risk".

I am more than happy to test this out Greebs! Will this have any effect on the right click menu bug aswell..? as that one is driving my nuts as it happens all of the time and frequently etc.

i've noticed the right click problem on the 1.6.1 version of darkradiant, where the right mouse click menu turns up when you try to drag the view in a floating 2d screen, it turning up more often than it used to in version 1.6.0, this being the 32bit version on win xp.

haven't had the other click bug cos I haven't use it.

Finally got round to publishing a tutorial on baking normal maps in Blender, since most of the ones we have are inaccessible or years out of date.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
