1.08 St. Lucia problem

Hey guys i have a strange problem with the mod more precisely SaintLucia mission, when i piked upped some empty Parchment on the small writing room with the priest next the elevator and clicked enter, my keyboard commands stopped working, well not all of them, i can use move, look and lean but neither of the other actions work including the mouse buttons, what can i do to solve this without starting the mission from scratch?

Someone else reported that. There were some scrolls there with messed up xdata that did that in an earlier build...I thought I deleted them all, but might have missed some. It's a map issue.

Is there a cvar the player can input to drop what ever they have picked up..?

 

No. It's not that you can't drop it, it's that there's no xdata, so when you try to read it, your inventory becomes frozen.

After droppin' the hammer on st lucia there is a guy down there that is always saying

 

'UH i felt it not', which seems the wrong bark for suspicion - it sounds like a player hit bark instead.

 

I also think that the running in water step sounds extremely aggressive, in comparison with the other sounds volume.

Is he standing next to the hammer? Sometimes the hammer gets nudged by other AI, and if the hammer bumps into someone they might play that bark.

I got the same map issue with the scrolls on top of the bookshelf in the scriptorum - the inventory freezes as soon as I pick one up. This is after updating to 1.08.

 

In addition, I think there's something wrong with the update process, because every time I go to the new mission menu, multiple missions give me the "clean-up" option. I click it, and confirm in the dialogue box, for every mission, and the clean-up option still appears for all those missions, even after I restart the mod.

 

I also get weird visuals with water splashes - everything behind the splash gets washed-out and white-tinted around the edges. This also sometimes happens with fog - I can see square edges and boundaries between different volumes of fog.

 

On the plus side, I no longer need RadeonPro to prevent the world from rendering upsidedown.

 

win7 x64 ATI Radeon 5970 with updated drivers

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
